The bunker has come back in LBP2

Archive: 5 posts

Merry Christmas!
I made a new level as a gift to you. Do you remember "The bunker". Some may remember this when you hear that a story level has a big wheel in LBP1. The bunker is the hardest story level in LBP1, i think. I made this level since I like it and wanna play in LBP2, and published it to share with u guys. Please see some photos.

As you aleady might notice, sackthing use bounce pads, grappling hook, grabinator, and other tools in LBP2. Yes, it is true that I made "The bunker" based on LBP1, but it is not just same level as original one. This is the bunker which we can play only in LBP2, contained a lot of tools or elements in LBP2. Even if you have played the bunker in LBP1, you can enjoy this level as new one, remembering LBP1 fondly. For new players, of course it is new for you and I want u to know that we worried with such a level to reach goal or to get ace
I know some are not good at playing and want to arrive at goal, so you don't like challenging levels. I prepared some magical boxes for such players. Don't worry yourself about that.
I hope you enjoy this level. Thanks for reading.

This level was quite interesting in numerous ways. Here's an analysis for the curious gadder:

Graphics

I personally think of the visuals as "LittleBigPlanet One Plus". Much of the original wilderness theme is preserved, but a very healthy dose of new materials and stickers (ESPECIALLY stickers) has been added. Light is used very effectively. In the rotating chamber (yes, THAT rotating chamber), there is a plethora of festive sticker panels, contrasting amusingly with the harsh metal of the Bunker.

Sound

The sound from the first half of the level is the Wilderness theme, which all LittleBigPlanet 1 veterans have grown to fear. In the infamous rotating chamber, however, the player is treated with a very upbeat tune which conveys a bit of insanity, when mixed with the saccharine stickers.

Gameplay:

As one might expect, the gameplay borrows liberally from the Bunker stage on LittleBigPlanet 1. Don't let this dissuade you, though, as nearly double the content has been added. There is a plethora of new spins on the old trials. At one point, the player will literally slow down time to make it past the turbo-charged conveyor belt area, creating a very impressive sepia/glow effect.
In addition, the creator has added little cubes to checkpoints that I affectionately call 'mercy cubes'. If a player fails a set number of times at a certain checkpoint (which is almost certain), one of these little cubes will appear out of nowhere and prompt the player to grab it, in a baby voice that reeks of YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). Grabbing the cube as told will make the corresponding area much easier to navigate. The only downside is that the gamer will inevitably get that guilty feeling one gets when one uses a cheat code to finally beat that one boss only to discover that it really doesn't count.
The creator doesn't stop there, however; hidden around the stage are numerous little areas that yield hidden bonuses, just like hidden areas in the Story Mode of LBP1.

Conclusion:
This level is an excellent remastering of the hated and feared bunker level. Hardcore Happy Gadders will rejoice in the heavy difficulty while Casual Sacks will be catered to as well with the 'mercy cubes'. In short, the bunker is bigger, harder and better-looking; amazingly, it's also more merciful.

Important Note: Players should take care not to grab the 'mercy cube' (explained below) in the center of the rotating chamber. While it does make the trial much easier, it also crashed the sound on my Playstation; I had to reset the machine before it could work again.

I played my level to confirm this bug and it is true that bug happens. I'm sorry for making u experience fear. I tried to fix it in any way but I cannot. So I removed the mercy cube( Thank you for naming it very nice name ) which cause critical bug, and put a new checkpoint on the way to the next checkpoint to make up for it. You cannot use the mercy cube the first half of a big wheel now. I also confirmed if the other mercy cube works well and there is no problem. I want u guys to use the mercy cube without fear, if you need help in my level.

Thank you for getting my level in queue. I think perhaps the atomosphere is good for Christmas, so I recommend playing before it.

I have found some bug that some checkpoints are not pasted. I fixed them.
If you find, please tell me any notion or bug.
