I'm wanting to make a game in one of the Sackbot's powers is ground pound and I was just wondering if anybody knew how to give a sackbot that ability.2011-12-19 20:14:00

That ability isnt easilt explainable, it is a pretty easy one to make, i actually played with a guy who had this today, i will get him to explain to me how it is done and hopefully get back to you asap, sorry if it takes a while he lives in a different time zome, personally i can tell you you need a sequencer some movers and maybe a few tags and tag sensors, maybe the creators toolkit have a chip for your sackbot that already has the ground pound ability. check it out at the Wiki, it will tell you how to get it.2011-12-19 22:26:00

A shaking camera (self-made or out-of-the box movie cam feature) gives the illusion that the ground is shaking. If this is a single player level, then you could have a "shake object" briefly emitted from your sackbot (and follow the bot during that while to keep the camera orientation correct) after he does his special move.

This "shake object" would be a 0% holo shape with some logic on it that revolves around a camera; either the block shakes in place (self-made shake effect) or the logic contains a movie camera with a shake effect.

In its simplest terms you want to activate an animation (best done through a sequencer) where your sackbot does a flip Mario style, then activate a mover that accelerates your sackbot downwards until it impacts something. If you want it to be consistent have acceleration at 100%, if you want the height you do it from to have an effect then choose a lesser acceleration so that a larger distance increases the impact.2011-12-20 13:11:00
