Anyone miss LBP1?

Archive: 5 posts

You know, I haven't played LBP2 in months. I just get bored the minute I start playing it. (Must be the level loading / the level scrolling {miss the world sticker} / or something)

I just don't know why I can't convert to LBP2. I was one of the people who got LBP2 a week earlier (via Subway). I played it a lot the first week but I just stopped playing it after that.

Online was really laggy (Even if me and my friend lives a block away). it was unplayable.

I don't know. I think I just miss how we were so creative to find ways to advance the game with the simplest tools.
Now that we have the tools for LBP2, I see no fun and creativity anymore. I think that's just me.
LBP advanced too far. I spent coooooooountless hours in the first game, but I can't manage to stay 1 hour in LBP2.

I'll give LBP2 a shot again and see if I can force myself to "like" it.

Idk if I'm the only one who isn't feeling LBP2. What do you guys think of 1 and 2?

sure I miss the charm and wonder of LBP1. I still go play LBP1 levels and I'm still blown away by what people did with the tools that were available. Guess what? I do that with LBP2 as well. sure we have all the tools but it seems you have to be an aeronautics engineer to master these tools. I'm blown away everyday by what people are doing within the confines of LBP2. Steve big guns. How is he doing this? The effect of the bunny drilling through the goo! How!?
Fotosynthesis1. Are you freaking kiddin' me!? How in the...what did....just. just. How? That skydiving level is mind blowing.

I was just playing some LBP1 levels the other day. I booted up LBP1 for something and decided to go through my queue.
Mrmik68 has some brilliant LBP1 levels that have that Wow! factor for me. I do miss LBP1 in regards to playing a level and not knowing how in the heck they did something. Except for those levels like "Freefallin'' for the most part, with LBP2 you know that "oh they used tags and followers here" or "this is just advanced movers with a timer and.." blah blah blah. But the game is still amazing and fun to play and I don't know if I'll ever get bored of it.

...did you try playing LBP1 see if it was as boring or not?
You said you played LBP2 and got bored but did not mention you tried to play LBP1, maybe LBP2 itself is not the problem but LBP in general, you just simply moved on to the next game already.

I mean not playing a game for a loong time then trying to play it doesn't always work so well either, you know?

The wait for LBP1 was the worst year in my life. Now I'm holding the cover above my head laughing hysterically preferably in a dark lit room with a fireplace while wearing a top hat and a monocle..and dracula's cape.2011-12-17 18:24:00

I got LBP1 really late (Christmas 2008, so almost 2009) and in the grade I was in we had NO homework! So I beat the game about 13 months before LBP2 came out (Got Platinum Trophy)... IMO I don't understand why anyone would go back into LBP1 unless to play with a friend who doesn't have LBP2, to backup a level, or to make glitches! Right now I have one more level to ace in LBP2 and 3 more levels to get all the prizes! So I'm coming close to "completing" LBP2 with all the homework I have! And that is what I think about going back to LBP1 2011-12-18 19:00:00
