Floor question

| Well I've just started making levels and I'm a bit stuck. How do you cover up the basic quilted floor you start with? When I place materials over it, they just lay on top. How do you get rid of the floor bit down the front? Thanks | 2011-12-16 00:17:00 Author: Unknown User  |
| It's impossible to build on top of the level boundaries, I'm afraid. You can build outside of the normal layers, but not over the quilted material. (Or any other BG edges) If you're just trying not to have the boundaries visible, just build higher up so that the camera can't see them. | 2011-12-16 00:42:00 Author: Ostler5000  Posts: 1017 |
| You cannot build over the floor, walls, or ceiling of your level. These are the level boundaries. You can change the background and that changes the look of the floor. Go into the tools bag and go several pages to the right, just after music and sounds. You can also just build your floor far enough up that you can't see the the basic quilted floor; if you want to keep the blank background. Use Light or Dark matter, or an Anti Gravity Tweaker to keep your material from falling. More Advanced: There is also a glitch called the "3D" or "Extra Layer" glitch, which allows you to build in the background area and effectively obscure the default background; you may have seen this used in community levels. I use this glitch a lot, and I really strongly recommend that you get comfortable working with the backgrounds provided in the game first.
