Making a proximity sensor lower a winch once only
Archive: 5 posts
I'm trying to make a raised block lower down using a winch (and stay down) when a proximity sensor is triggered. The problem is that I can only get the winch to "cycle" once - i.e. complete an up and down motion. I just want it to move down (and stay down). Also when the player moves out of the sensor range and back into it again the sensor triggers again - I only want it to happen once. Do I have to mess around with logic circuits to carry out these tasks. I hope not as it seems fairly straight forward compared to other LBP stuff I've seen... I'm a total beginner at LBP creator mode, so I'm sorry if I'm missing something silly. Any help would be much appreciated :-) | 2011-12-15 20:20:00 Author: Unknown User |
connect the sensor to a one shot counter, connect the counter to the winch, set the winch to directional regards Dave | 2011-12-15 20:26:00 Author: ForgottenEnigma Posts: 1414 |
I didn't even know about the one shot counter as I hadn't really dabbled in anything in the logic section. But that gives me a way forward now, so thanks for your help :-) | 2011-12-15 20:32:00 Author: Unknown User |
I should point out, a 'one shot counter' isn't an actual logic item but rather a regular counter set to only count 1 input signal (just have a look in the counters options, you'll see)... just incase I caused any confusion with that. Lol that's ok, I think it's a case of me confusing myself! | 2011-12-15 20:44:00 Author: Unknown User |
