"Ignore Player" creatures only move right?

| So I was messing around with the editor and trying to get a creature that ignored the player but moved to the left, using the creature legs. I would have used motor bolted wheels but I wanted to have it change direction with the creature navigator once it reached a certain point. Simply placing a navigator to the right of the creature to get it to turn left immediately wasn't really an option because I wanted to have several copies of the creature one after the other. I tried flipping every part of the creature but the result was either that it still moved right, or that the brain glitched and dissolved the creature the moment the level started. Is there any way to set up a creature using the creature legs/wheels so that it starts moving left when the level begins? | 2008-12-27 14:15:00 Author: isthiswhereiputm  Posts: 57 |
| you set it to ignor player? if so then the radius for the brain is most likely to large and it starts to ignore him when he first enters the level thus he is always going toward the right (if your guy starts the level and goes left to right), now you can do this by taking your guy, and flipping the ENTIRE thing around, not just piece by piece, that does not make much sense, becuase he would just look like he would go that way, but really he is still going the other way (i hope this works) If that does not work: use motorbolt wheels, and put a key switch on one of the wheels, and a key on the ground, and make it so that the wheels turn a different way when they are hit, (this is a really nice concept for multiple levels and uses) so you got yourself a self-made navigator. and you can preset which way you want the wheels to turn so if you do not want a navigator, then there you go and it is moving left (yay) If that does not work: USE NAVIGATORS, they help, just put one just to the right of it, and it will turn around and continue to the left IF you need any further help just ask Cheers! | 2008-12-27 18:09:00 Author: RAINFIRE  Posts: 1101 |
