Can't make a dent in my queue
Archive: 11 posts
I started off with about 15 levels or so in my queue list. It's grown quite large now. I can't seem to make a dent in it. I play one or two levels only to add double that. There are just so many great creators out there. How many levels can you have in your queue? | 2011-12-14 08:22:00 Author: Yomikibagami ![]() Posts: 10 |
Hundreds. Of which a sizable number still unplayed. | 2011-12-14 09:26:00 Author: Antikris ![]() Posts: 1340 |
I'm pretty deep into creating something at the moment, but I see a lot of creators out there complaining that no one plays their stages, only to see that they themselves are too busy creating to play stages themselves. Last weekend I took a day out of creating and cleared my queue. I played quite a few stages and also left feed back on them all. | 2011-12-14 10:40:00 Author: Mr_Fusion ![]() Posts: 1799 |
I've got quite a few on mine too. I could do with clearing through a few of them, because some of them look to be pretty decent levels. I think before I release my next level (if I ever flippin' start it ![]() | 2011-12-14 10:51:00 Author: Ali_Star ![]() Posts: 4085 |
I never really play levels myself, I am mostly just complain on why I never get plays with my levels and also creating my chalkboy level which I have got no were with yet :/ But anyway I also never qeund any levels either. You should try to play all the qeund levels then. | 2011-12-14 10:51:00 Author: The_Lil_JoKeR ![]() Posts: 745 |
been there, done that. At one time I had around 200 in my queue. I'd spend hours playing levels only to queue more the next day. LBP.me just makes it so dang easy. I've finally whittled it down so that I only have about 20 in my queue now. | 2011-12-14 13:35:00 Author: biorogue ![]() Posts: 8424 |
Yeah, I have tons. Add more every day. I'll never catch up at this point. | 2011-12-14 19:01:00 Author: CYMBOL ![]() Posts: 1230 |
Yeah, I have tons. Add more every day. I'll never catch up at this point. Yup, played all of Se-mi92's LBP1 levels, then added a ton of other ones. One day I'll try and figure out how to do a level. | 2011-12-15 03:43:00 Author: Yomikibagami ![]() Posts: 10 |

You should try to play all the qeund levels then. In no ways is this intended to be rude, and is not a direct attack on The Lil Joker, I think your stuff is amazing and deserves more attention... But this is the problem with LBP: It's so easy to be sucked into non-stop creating. I have played, commented and rated the majority of your stages and I know that it's tricky to play every stage of every person that has hearted you, but personally seeing others do the same with my stuff... well, I have always taken a look at their efforts. Recently I found that I had spent AGES creating something as was looking to take a break and noticed levels like The Lil Joker's languishing in that middle ground of obvious effort and quality but with little recognition. I also noticed that so many showcase threads have so few responses. But the projects thread was bubbling away. Which is why I thought taking a break to play other levels for an entire day was a great idea. I have spent an entire day creating... and when taking a break spent an entire day playing Skyrim. So I dedicated a whole day to play as many levels from recommendations/showcase/spotlight as I could. I even hung out in 'newest levels' for a few hours. While waiting for a level to load I left a comment for the previous level in their thread. Its similar to the goals of spotlight crew I guess but the goal is to play as many levels as possible not too look for high quality. The new 'play now' button makes it even easier. Last weekend I played virtually all of the first two pages of showcase and left a response. The entire front page said I had the last comment... I challenge others to do better. Pick a random day and clear those queues! As for the newly created section; I actually played an amazing stage from an unknown creator. I commented, yay'd, hearted them and the level and while playing more during the day, saw it climb the cool pages. That actually felt pretty good, knowing that I helped get them recognition. Seeing other peoples work refreshed my creative efforts more than playing Skyrim and is something I will do more of. As for Lil Joker, your Chalkboy stage was great! I recommend you take a look at the 'Dark Side Of Disney' entries to see if they inspire you past your design block. | 2011-12-15 06:15:00 Author: Mr_Fusion ![]() Posts: 1799 |
