Does anyone slap for no reason in LBP and do you hate that its even in the game?

sometimes. I'll be in the pod or a level with my brother. We're both quite mature in age, and he'll just slap me for no dang reason. I'm like WTH!

I find it quite funny sometimes especially when there right at a ledge and slap them and see them fall for ages lol

Slapping rocks, it even enables for some really fun gameplay types. The only thing I dislike wiht slapping is the huge reloading time, I wish there was a way to slap without having to wait for two seconds afterwards, would allow for some pretty fun gameplay IMO

I agree, however when designing minigames where slapping is involved a shorter reload time would be more fun. I'm not saying it should be shorter at all times, I just wish there was a way to work around that.

I find that slapping is best when combined with the laughing face (slapper) and the angry face (slappee) for optimal comedic effect.

Oh I like that its there but gets annoying when people do it constantly yeno I get on here to have fun, so when I'm just hanging with friends, I try not to take anything too seriously. Sometimes you just need to loosen up and go with the flow. If someone is smackin the crap out of ya, then I'd say. Paybacks are hell...

In a group of 3 or 4 if someone brbs you can play slap tennis with them. It's hard to do more than 3 volleys in a row to each other, though.

I occasionally slap people in the Pod, but only once. It's fun and I like it, but people doing it repetitively get irritating. Also, I think we need to see it used more in levels now we have sackbots. Lots more.

I find it extremely irritating when someone is so annoyed by it that they kick you. ESPECIALLY if that person was slapping you silly in the first place. I was with some German guy, and he wouldn't start playing...he just started playing slappy-party with me (and my bro). So I played along, and he got angry and kicked us. Jerk. But slapping is fun . It's a nice little animation, and it also kind of serves as an e-mote.

I usually put on the fish hand costume piece and offer it to someone and type "fish?" then I slap them with it and type "fish slap!"

Fish hand? We have a fish? Anyway, I love slapping. It never bothers me, but it does get on my friends' nerves kinda easily. I try and tell them that it's all for fun and that it's just a game, but only my best friend really understands..

I like it. It's a cool example of LBP's superb animation and puppetry system. Sometimes I slap my partners just for the heck of it and they slap me in return. It's funny but we never overdo it. I disagree with Mniska about the reloading time though. If we could slap people without being vulnerable for a time ourselves it'd get much more annoying. You'd get slapped even before you recovered of your last slap and so on.

Occasionally I slap people off cliffs and stuff and kill them but yeah, it gets annoying sometimes.
