Electric Costume Gone Wrong!!HELP!!
Archive: 11 posts
My son and his friends online were trying the Electric Sackboy glitch and now every time he either enters a level or in create mode and drops out of hover mode he is electrocuted and dies returning to hover mode. If he enters a level he is electricuted and respawns over and over till the entry limit has been reached. I have seen fixes for spawn pop but none of these work because he dies immediately after leaving hover mode so I can't bolt the Spawn Pop creator to him to start the fix. I've tried deleting his profile completely so he could start over with no avail. I'm sorry if this has been addressed already but combed through the forums and didn't see a fix specific to the Electric costume gone wrong thanks for your help. I don't personally know how the spawn pop cure you speak of works so my help here may be invalid but... would setting a level wide auto enter controllinator stop him from dying as technically they provide invincibility? from there you could change the costume while in the seat. Once again I have no real idea if this will help or not, I'd recommend making frequent backups if experimeting with glitches but obviously that won't help your current problem. Try my idea anyway and if it doesn't work I'm sure somebody here will have another theory / solution. Regards Dave | 2011-12-12 01:09:00 Author: ForgottenEnigma Posts: 1414 |

Regards Dave " level wide auto enter controllinator " what's this how would I go about building one? Edit: also i tried changing his costume in hover mode to no avail. | 2011-12-12 01:28:00 Author: Unknown User |
" level wide auto enter controllinator " what's this how would I go about building one? Place a controlinator, set it to 5000 radius, and tell it to automatically enter. My friend had this problem but with fire instead. All he had to do was restart the game, though. If all else fails, delete the Game Data instead of the Save Data. This will usually fix any in-curable bugs. | 2011-12-12 03:28:00 Author: Speedynutty68 Posts: 1614 |
Put a controllinator on a piece of cardboard or something and tweak it so the radius is at the maximum length. Set it to 'automatically enter-yes' and there you have it. Should pull him into the controllinator as soon as he enters the level. Though if changing the costume in hover mode didn't work, I doubt this will do anything, as that was Dav1d0's reason for suggesting this in the first place. Maybe try this method in play mode rather than create, see if that works. Just out of curiosity, were they attempting this in LBP2? I know this is the LBP2 forum, but I figured I'd ask. This glitch has been present since LBP1 and I've done it myself, but in LBP1. Maybe it has something to with the game...I don't know just a guess. Maybe try deleting the game data (and possibly your son's saved data again) and re-installing the game? Good luck. EDIT: What happens when he enters his pod? If he's able to be in his pod just fine, try changing the costume there and then deleting it, see if that does anything. EDIT2: Speedynutty beat me to it. | 2011-12-12 03:44:00 Author: Ninja_Gnome23 Posts: 198 |
It's in LBP 2 I tried the controlinator thing and no go, he went into it fine, I reset the costume and changed the material and such and as soon and he leaves the controlinator it kills him. I now just completely deleted the game data on his user name not just the saved game data and that resolved the issue though he was a little had he lost all his data he was ecstatic that he could play on his user again.(Thanks Speedy) Thanks for trying guys. | 2011-12-12 03:53:00 Author: Unknown User |

NOOO. Too bad. I knew how to fix that. Your mixing up 3 glitches here : Glitch 1 : the pop cancer : happens when you change the size of your sackboy and somehow can't spawn in levels Glitch 2 : the skeleton costume : used to happen when closing controller while dying of electricity in LBP1, gave you a nice costume Glitch 3 : the electric/fiery/plasmafied sackboy : no idea how to make it, know how to stop it This glitch is solvable by adding a second controller, spawning a second player, setting the first controller off and waiting for him to be gone, then restart controller 1. However, my friend had this glitch on and it allowed him to hurt people, not the opposite. I hope you didn't lose everything or hadn't done too much in LBP2. Never try glitches you don't know much, or that are new and modify the player itself. It usually ends up sadly - such as corrupted data. Remember to do back-ups in the pause menu under profile. You can also backup levels individually. Recovering from back-ups doesn't affect pins and trophies, unless you changed the data from a PS3 to another. I had the spawn cancer one, I had to go back 1 hour ago in time. That was the most stressful moment of my gaming time. I can't imagine how horrible it would be, since I've got hours of work done and almost 100% (need trophies and pins). | 2011-12-13 02:19:00 Author: Unknown User |

Pivottt: My niece has the flaming sackperson. When she was playing , someone showed her how to do it but she doesn't remember how they did it. A flame shoots up from her sackperson when she's in her pod, but not when she is on a MyMoon level. She can not enter any community level. I spawned her in her pod with controller 1. Spawned a 2nd sackperson as guest with controller 2. Clicked the "PS logo" on 1, selected "shut off this controller", pressed "X". After a few seconds, the flaming sackperson blew up and disappeared. Restarted controller 1 and her sackperson with flames appeared again. I tried the same thing after going to a MyMoon level with the same results. When I open the popit on the MyMoon level, I notice a flaming sackperson icon on the lower right. When I select it, a "hold to retry" message appears and if I press "x", my sackperson blows up, the reappears. Something else I need to do differently? Thanks. | 2012-02-07 13:49:00 Author: Unknown User |
Here's a solution another community member did for the flaming sackperson. Alright, so the friend of mine spawned the same device used to delethalize sackpeople who intentionally used the lethal sackboy glitch. He prepared an entrance, which was suspended by dark matter and covered in anti-lethalization tweakers, and instructed me to turn off my controller. I did, and after my sack went poof, so to speak, I turned it back on. While I was spawning, my friend was essentially spamming me with tweakers, several of which somehow attached to me. This cured me. Then, all I had to do was pop, and they were gone, as well as my fire-induced SPC! Hopefully my experience will help others in the future! | 2012-04-05 01:29:00 Author: Lady_Luck__777 Posts: 3458 |
