I'll be sure to give this a try! EDIT: I've got some feedback for you! The Bad Too much walking! -I often found myself just dragging my little sack feet without much stimulation (i.e. obstacles, puzzles, etc.) Brushed visuals -I noted a sizable amount of times that you had just used the brush tool and left it as you brushed it. I would have liked to see more corner editing on some of the brush work to make the level more aesthetically appealing The Good That house feeling! -The level felt very roomy and although that's what partly constituted to the excessive amount of walking, it did provide a realistic house-ish feeling Impressive Visuals -The visuals found in this level were more than adequate! They exuded this "I'm larger than you, thus you are small" vibe which allows the player to actually feel small!...In a good way The What PS2 FTW! -Self explenatory for the most part The Verdict :star::star::star: and a <3 -There wasn't enough stimulation, and there needed to be a longer amount of playtime as well. The level felt a bit short. If you keep improving your levels with feedback from the community of LBPC, you'll go pro in no time! | 2011-12-12 17:55:00 Author: The-Questor Posts: 1328 |
This time I'm gonna review this level. So let's start with... The Goods: - The Turbo! soundtrack fits perfectly to this level - There were much sound effects which makes the gameplay more fun - Additional mission at the end - Hidden objects - Great choice of materials - I very liked the look of the house. It was fantastic! - Trophies! The Bads: - There was too much backtracking - The house was kinda empty without bubbles - The level could use more corner editing The Most Awesome: - Blowing up the microwave was pretty neat Overall Rating: :star::star::star::star::star: + <3 (This is a great example of an awesome exploration level with some additonal secrets inside) Highscore beaten and faces eaten. @The-Questor Wow! Amazing Feedback, Questor! Thanks! I realise there's a lot of walking about, but that's what it would be like if you were that small, wouldn't it? I suppose I could have put some things on the floor. I'll take all this advice into consideration when I make my new level 'The Gates of Heaven'. I suppose I could have made it longer, but to be honest I thought it was quite long. Maybe, I'm wrong. I'd filled the therometer when I added the extra missions like the race and finding the soldier. P.S. Your levels are awesome! <3 @schark1994 Two great reviews. I'm really suprised (because I didn't think my levels were that good). I won't put much backtracking in other levels. I didn't know some people didn't like it. I put a lot of back tracking in 'Shipping Docks', 'The Oasis' and 'Harvest Fields'. I'll try to narrow that down in future. I thought score bubbles might ruin the house atmosphere. But, I made up for it at the end with the race and extra mission for which you get rewarded. Glad you liked the microwave part. I don't know why I did that. P.S. Good work for getting top of the scoreboard. :star: | 2011-12-16 10:56:00 Author: Green Dino Bone Posts: 73 |
Awesome Stuff: -That housey, Turbo! feeling -Instead of following a path, you can go where you want, looking for the pieces -Nice Visuals -TROPHIES!!18!32!!! -We liek sound effects Stuff That Must Be Sent To The Void: -Walk, walk ... -Can't find the score board. D: (But that's most likely coz I'm dumb. >_>) -Brushy stuffz Stuff That Was Strange, Yet Awesome: -I love blowing stuff up, Microwave has the 'Nys' Seal Of Approval'. -Dat ps2 The Rating: :star::star::star::star::star: I won't squeeze a heart out due to the brushed visuals here and dere and too much walking. Still, this is a great level, keep it up! | 2011-12-16 11:37:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
cool, as soon as I get the chance, I'll try this out. | 2011-12-16 12:52:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
@nysudyrgh Thanks for my third detailed feedback. Other creators have been saying about the brushed visuals. I will develop that, PROMISE! By the way, the scoreboard is in the treehouse. Once you've found all the pieces, you go back to the bedroom and Charles (the bear) get's kidnapped by a bird. You then go out the bedroom window, climb the tree and there he is with the scoreboard. | 2011-12-19 14:48:00 Author: Green Dino Bone Posts: 73 |

I played it. It took me forever to beat. But I still liked it even thogh it was long. I did the extra race thing and got 3rd place highscore. | 2011-12-20 00:47:00 Author: unc92sax Posts: 928 |
This levels awesome! Good things: It felt like a house and that you were a small toy, I liked how you added SFX to almost everything. Bad things: Characters weren't very personal (the bear was just a wrapped sticker and the soldier was from the turbo pack), plus you could have made the bathroom accessible, add one more detailed room might have made it better. Rating: :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 Also, where is the piece in the kitchen, I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. | 2011-12-20 17:47:00 Author: Unknown User |
Plus you could have made the bathroom accessible, add one more detailed room might have made it better. NEVER, enter an occupied bathroom. | 2011-12-20 18:34:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
