New Festive Goodies Coming To Town!

Revealed in the latest Media Molecule Podcast, it seems some new festive goodies will be making their way to Craftworld nearer christmas time : ) not much else is known but you can listen to the podcast here!

I think it's great we're finally getting some new festive treats! I wonder what they'll be?

dang, I listened to the podcast. How did I miss that? Oh, right, twins were running around being crazy. I'm excited to see this, OH NO! What if I'm in Seattle when it comes out? I'm there till Jan. 4th and will miss it! I have access to a PS3 up there though. OK, a question. I'm taking my backup profile up there with me, if I download the DLC there and do a backup, will I be able to load that backup here on my machine and have the DLC?2011-12-10 18:45:00

No. If you're using the same online profile you can download it there then re-download it on your other PS3. If you did the profile thing it would say you can't use it because you don't own it.		2011-12-10 18:49:00

For time-limited content, you need only purchase the DLC from the PS Store during the period when it's available. It doesn't matter if you actually download it or not - a record of the purchase will be permanently associated with your online PSN account.

Once you've purchased it, you can download it (via the "View Downloads" icon at the top-right of every page on the PS Store) whenever and whereever you want, as many times as you like. 		2011-12-11 14:32:00

Isn't the number of times you can download DLC limited to 2 since last month? Or is that just for full games? In that case it's better not to download after purchase, so the content isn't activated and linked to the other PS3.2011-12-11 20:59:00

The original Festive Goodies pack is out again now? How come I can't find it? I see nothing on the PSN store. In the game I see the listing (because I downloaded the Santa costume before) but no pricing availability options for the pack itself.

I have purchased some other DLC recently with no problem. Any clues what's up here? This money is just burning a hole in my pocket... I haven't received any helpful information from Sony. They gave me the usual line about deleting game data, but I don't have corruption issues: I have two systems to test this issue from and both have the same issue.		2011-12-12 08:08:00

I believe that's the number of "activated" PS3s you can have associated with your PSN account. Seems reasonable that they dropped it from five to two, to minimize gamesharing - I can't imagine many individuals own more than two PS3s.

Any content purchased online (full titles or add-on content) can be downloaded to as many PS3s as you like, but only two PS3s may be "active" at any time, and your content will only run on PS3s which are "active". You can activate/deactivate a PS3 from one of the options on the XMB.

So, if you're going to be using someone else's PS3 temporarily, make sure you deactivate it when you're done. You can check to see how many consoles you have activated by logging into http://www.qriocity.com/ with your PSN account info.



The original Festive Goodies pack is out again now? How come I can't find it?

Try doing a text search on the PS Store for the word "festive" - if it doesn't come up, it's probably not out yet for your region.

Remember: just because Media Molecule claim that some piece of DLC is available, doesn't mean the slackers at SCEA/SCEE who run the PS Store have actually made it so.

...and vice versa - there's often some DLC which isn't supposed to be available which actually is, if you search for it, e.g. the Thanksgiving costume was still available when I checked the EU store yesterday.		2011-12-12 11:20:00

Well I am in the US, for what it's worth and didn't see it. I will have to check again today.

@Gribble Grunger: There's no NEW costume for Christmas this year (only old ones) - at least if there is, it isn't on the page.
@Stormi71: If you're referring to the new level kit, our store updates I think it's either Wednesday or Thursday, so it should be out about then... maybe 		2011-12-20 02:30:00

It doesnt come out till the 21st, well the free kit doesnt, their is however two things you can get, for 2.99 you can get 2 costumes and a christmas present box, or you can go ahead and download the santa outfit for free, in two days the free christmas kit will release.		2011-12-20 04:57:00
