The 3rd Annual LBPCentral Awards Show! **VOTING CLOSED**

Hello there Happy Gadders!

It's December 5, 2011, a rather late time for the show to commence. Due to my recent increase in activity in my life, my activity here has dwindled. I barely had time to come back on, search through the threads, and resurrect this show via copypasta. While the intended time of this post was for the 1st of December, I hope this late appearance still holds the show?s tradition of fun and entertainment.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, welcome to the 2011 edition of ?The LBPCentral Awards Show!?

So here's the works. The voter, that?s you, will be deciding who brings home the award. That's right. All you have to do is cast a name in the imaginary box (AKA post it on the thread), or PM me if you want it to be private. Simple, right?

Now before we begin, we need to go over some rules and consequences. Trust me when I say that these rules will help both you and me in making this show successful. So please, read this before you do something you might regret.


Rules
1. No voting for yourself. *

2. If you're going to argue, then take it somewhere else. I will not tolerate someone who finds someone else's vote different, offensive, or just plain stupid. With that said, stay clear from arguments because everyone who participates in the argument will face the consequence that?s appointed to this rule. **

3. If you want to vote privately, then PM me.

4. If you want to change your vote, then edit your post. This will be helpful for me. DO NOT VOTE (POST) TWICE. *

5. Stay on topic. You may post about the show or something relative to it (ex. complimenting someone who you think should win an award, or just plain out chatting with the other voters). This rule coincides with the next rule:

6. NO SPAM! Spam is a delicious food product that belongs on the dinner table, not on this thread. **


Consequences
* The vote will be considered invalid until further notice.
** You?re vote will discarded and your name will be removed from public voting, thus rendering you from winning an award.

Note: I am not held responsible for any infractions, bans, arguments, threats, nor anything of that nature. If something happens (i.e. you best friend hates you) and/or you just hate the show for whatever reason, then I?m not going to bother with you.

Who?s been here a year or less and already made an impact on the site?

Contributor Award
They lend a helping hand, whether it's through contest, Co-Op Creating, or simply making some arts and crafts with you. Either way, they?re always here to help and give back to the community one way or another. This is awarded to whom the members think has given the ?best? contribution of them all.

News Reporter Award
They dig up the dirty stuff. They seek the truth, the sole truth, and nothing but the truth. They know what the new content is coming up before anyone, but they're willing to share it.

PS3 Rookie Designer Award
The noobs of the pack, yet they have some of the best levels out there. They must have joined a year ago or less.

PSP Rookie Designer Award
So what if they?re new and still grasping the ropes? Their levels are fun! They must have joined at least a year ago or less.

Creativity Award
Given to those who are always thinking of new ways to represent themselves in an original fashion; question is, who thinks outside the box better?

PS3 Creator Award
Their levels have been praised by many for their outstanding detail and gameplay. They never fail to deliver the best qualities in a level, and they?re always the ones you wait excitingly for another level from them to be released.

PSP Creator Award
You loved playing their levels in the palm of your hands? Did you by any chance add them to your Hearted Creators list? Then vote for them to show them how much you like their levels!

Trendsetter Award
Who thinks they?re all that and a bag of chips? Who?s thinks they?re the cool-cat of the group? Who says black is the new white and expects you to follow suit?

Comedian Award
They make you laugh and have an incredible amount of humor in them. Never afraid to be witty and sarcastic for a good laugh, these people will make sure to leave you smiling by the end of the day. Vote for who you think is the funniest.

Friendly Award
This special group people almost never turn down a friend request. Whenever you need a shoulder to cry on, or you simply want to have a conversation with someone, then these guys are there for you whether you?re an old friend or a newcomer.

Thread Weaving Award
They have such an awesome thread, made with 100% cotton. They always have a good thread for you to read and post on. Vote for whomever you think has the best topics on this site.

Pet Lover Award
You got to be obsessed with pets. You must love them, feed them, and even post their pictures online for entertainment purposes. My god? you love them to death!

Missing In Action Award
The most missed inactive users. It's always a sad day to see these members? names pop up once in a while, just out there? somewhere. This award is dedicated to those who shall be remembered forever in our hearts and on this site?s history.

Most Active Award
See them online? See them on the internet? See them in your mirror? Then they go here, so we can see them here as well.

Spirit Award
They cheer you up, post positive comments, and are the very essence of this site. Awarded to the member who is active and always making newcomers feel welcomed.

PS3 F4F Award
There are countless numbers of reviews here, and majority of the levels here are filled with great feedback, but these people have the best feedback to offer. Always excited to play another level, they?re ready to give you the best review they can offer.

PSP F4F Award
This is just like its brother award; they gave you feedback on your epic scorpion level and are constantly on the lookout for new levels to give feedback to. Why not return the favor?

Quoted Award
The name says it all. Awarded to the member and his/her quote, they got quoted for the funniest, most embarrassing, and/or smartest thing they've ever said! Vote for your favorite quote and the person you got the quote from.

Trash Talk Award
We?re known for mixing it up both on-site and in-game; who talks the best game?

Admin/Mod Award
I think it's safe to say that in our world of nonchalant gamers and bloggers, we occasionally run into a problem that is too much for us to handle; that?s where these guys come in! Always looking out for any trouble needing attending to, our site?s staff knows when to come in and settle the dust? most of the time.

Role Model Award
They?re the heroes of our time. They?re the ones who know when to talk and how to pick the right choice. They represent the kindness and maturity of this community and should therefore deserve this award.

LBPCentral Member Of The Year Award
The final award in this segment, and by far the most important. This award goes to who you think has maintained the site in to highest standards. Always putting the community of ahead of themselves, they represent everything we can look for in a person. There?s too many qualities to list, but I think you get the general idea of where this is going. Who do you think is LBPC?s MVP?

Your Opinion Is Needed!
1. If you want a prize for the winners, like XP or Custom Award Sigs, then post the idea and I?ll look into it.

2. If you feel the need to tell me to add or remove a category, then go ahead and post your complaint. I?ll be sure to read and respond as quickly as possible.

3. If you can't understand a category, then ask someone, or post your complaint so I can detail the category on the thread if it is necessary.

4. I will PROBABLY need a co-host this time IF the votes come in by the hundreds (each category is considered one vote, each voting sheet is considered 25 votes). Last year I had WAY too many votes to count, so now I?m not so sure I?m going to clutch it like last year. So, how do you feel about this option?

5. Like the new names and descriptions I made for the categories? If you like them, then awesome! If not, then tell me!

Previous years you didn't, and I can only assume it is the same this time. Because if you had to answer all... well, no one could, so it'd really just be filling in spaces when you don't really think said person deserves it. What Rock said. I don't want to force people to vote in categories they don't feel sure about. However, I do highly recommend giving each a bit of thought and not just send me a nomination for only one or two categories.

Yes. You can change your votes too by editing your post. You vote will not be counted until the deadline, December 31, 2011 at 12:00 AM. The reasoning to this is so other people can change their votes if they ever feel like they had a change of mind. This is also to prevent multi-voting, or when someone votes more than once by using several posts. This can be seen as cheating and regardless of whether the person did it on purpose or not it still creates mix-ups in the votes, so I try to catch people from doing this early before the actual votes are counted.

Last year's snazzy banner was made by the awesome-sauce Alismuffin (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/member.php?9339-Alismuffin), and the year before that we had none because I was still considered a noob at the time . I'll have the new banner up as soon as I can.

So many friends here...
I tried to make it pubblic, giving the reasons for every pick then I realized how much biased my list was and how much a great disservice I would have made to my friends.
Maybe they wouldn't fit the list of the best in some categories and I tried to stubbornly push them into to fit.
Yeah, some may not be the best users of the forums, but they mean so much to me and they always have patience with my totally random crazy attitude.
You know who you are! HUGS!!! Putting you in a list would not honour enough how special you are.
So...I won't vote, I can't separate the fun of the thing from the heart, sorry.

Googled it. It's close but not the same. I'm about to finish downloading the fansite kit, so I'll check in there. If it's not in there, then I'll just use the Brady Bunch instead.

I nominate OmegaSlayer for LBPCentral Member of the Year Award.

I'm going to quote this PM I received from him earlier this year, back when the forums were full of conflict and back biting, because I feel that it may help to explain my reasons why...


This place have become known for slackery, while it was the head of all forums. But with some good will we can change that.

What I'm planning and starting to work on now is putting people to work. For now me and thegide have organized a contest team, a regular one, with the purpose of releasing a crown contest every month.Then the next step will be trying to put people doing something to actively partecipating, and have some ideas in mind.

Having people as a forum team instead of being just a user gives responsability and attachment to the place. There is some people with skills willing to do something positive.

Anyway, if you listen carefully, there's this desire to bring back the old atmosphere of this forum, but we all have to sweat a bit. Good things always come from hard work and sweat.

I think Omega realised that something needed to change around here and committed himself to do something actively positive instead of just moaning about what was wrong with the forums, like so many of us were doing at the time. He didn't undertake this task alone and credit also goes to several other positive minded individuals who rallied together to aid the cause, but I know that Omega really led the charge here. I think it's no small co-incidence that soon after this the forums did change for the better, and became a much friendlier and mutually supportive community.

This was really hard because there's so many friendly and funny people here and they're all my friends, so this was hard to make the list and be truthful about it.
Honestly, all of you are my friends.

P.S: I see everyone here as my friends, this awards thing is just something I wanna participate in. I don't want anyone here to feel lower or higher as my friend, I think of all of you as great friends equally.
