Have a Grappling Hook work through a floor?

| For one of the challenges in my level, I'd love to have a grappling hook work through the floor. Essentially, you are on a raised/closed off platform, and you would want to grapple a small cube below you, such that you could pull it up a little bit and have it dangle just below you. From a little bit of playing around, it seems like it's possible to grapple something and then have a wall drop in between you and the grappled object (and the string just ends up going through the wall), but I haven't found an effective way to grapple something when a wall or floor is already in the way. | I don't believe it's possible. The pathing algorithm for the grapple hook prevents it from going through objects when it's shot. I'd say your best bet is to do what you mentioned--use a grab switch on the object you're grabbing to place a divider between Sackboy and the grabbable material. | 2011-12-05 19:01:00 Author: xero  Posts: 2419 |
