Hey there! This is my first level, originally for LBP1... It's pretty much a simple platforming level.
I had great fun doing it, with great help and support from kinhalchemist (http://lbp.me/u/kinhalchemist), who also made this nice promotional picture above!
Any suggestions, questions, etc etc please let me know! Hope you guys enjoy it!!

The Skyward Tower series tells the story of the mysterious B.I.R.D. Initiative. Upon the leadership of their founder, the man known only as B.I.R.D.C.E.O., the B.I.R.D. Initiative is building a Tower to reach the far limits of the sky. Upon doing that, they seek to control an unimaginable source of power, known to man simply as "skypower".
Little do they know that the skypower has a deep connection with the fabric of time itself. Guess who's going to discover that, first-hand?

Hi there! I'm writing this feedback as I play the level (and not looking at my computer's screen), so bear with me and my no doubt large amount of typos xD

Intro reminds me a lot of LBP1, looks quite minimalistic at first but as you walk up to the tower that changes. The first B.I.R.D cushion was a little hard to get to and harder still to actually swing into the building, but it wasn't too much hassle. If you walk to the far right after you get in (past the workman who teaches you about the 'microblunters' and jump, you get stuck. It wasn't too hard to get out of, but I couldn't see where I was and couldn't move without jumping. Again, the second B.I.R.D cushion (the one to turn on the 'elevator&apos wasn't the easiest to get to.

Onto the race now. I almost ended up walking over the top of it, I'd add an invisible wall or something to stop that from happening, or reduce the angle the race gate is at. I really enjoyed this section and how 'mechanical' it was, well done. The section past the bit where the worker mentions a secret prize feels a bit empty, maybe at some form of scenery. As I reached the top of the hill, I immediately died on some electric hexagon things, which was a bit annoying. the game automatically layer-switches you to the yellow circles, which is right next to the electric hexagon things.

The enemy guarding the battery that you needed to get was slightly big, and I died every time I touched him (including the time I killed him). The bit after the B.I.R.D launcher where you went up on the multiple cushions was pretty entertaining. The lift after discovering 'skypower' and how it can kill you was quite hard to get on, perhaps increase the wait time. The lights against the 'macroblunter' were exceedingly bright, to the point I thought I was going to get a headache.

And that's the end. Are all the sackbots meant to look exactly the same as me?

Overall, a fun level. There defiantly some good bits in here, and it looks a lot like an LBP1 level which was nice and nostalgic. Work on the changes I've suggested and you should be fine. A happy face from me.

For F4F, would you play my level 'Snow Place Like Home (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=65285-Snow-Place-Like-Home) for me please? Thanks

Interesting level which has an original theme and visual look. The story is well thought out, the various workmens dialogue help provide direction and humour. Intially it felt lbp1 influenced with the workmen cut outs, materials and background which i really liked. Only at the end do the sackbot dopplegangers appear adding an intriuging plot twist leading in to the second part.
For me the Microblunters were the star, I really enjoyed taking them on..even the giant one at the end. All the platforming and path opening tasks went without hitch for me, no bugs and just enough challenge. Good job on an original story platformer. Will return to play part 2.

Nice level. It feels like one of the LBP1 levels, all right.

VISUALS:
The level design is pretty good, but needs more polishing by adding more decorations and details.

SOUND:
Good music choices. They brought back some good memories in LBP1.

GAMEPLAY:
There are some good ideas in this level, but some obstacles could use better lengths of reaching them. The part with the balancer near the switch is a bit difficult to reach, so I suggest make the bird sponge near it go a bit higher. Also, the yellow barrels should be grabbable with the material tweaker tool. I got stuck around the area with the crab-shaped machine because the barrel got stuck near the gate.

OVERALL:
Despite the lack of innovation, this level has some nice basic LBP1 gameplay. A yay.

Hey everyone, I was travelling on vacation this last month, thus without access to my Ps3! So, really really sorry for the big lateness on doing my F4F responses, but it's all been done now!
Thank you very much for the nice reviews so far!!

Hi

I've played your level and overall it was very decent. But there are some small glitches and bugs in your level.

First of all, the 'race-gate'. I could easily jump over that gate without starting the race. Maybe should place it a little higher or you could place the gate after the "gliding-part".

(This is a bug when you play with two players) :

The part with the mechanics (in the race) works fine, but when my teammate got a mechanic further, there is a big chance that it will break. Maybe you should mention that the level is designed for only one player. It's not made for two players.

To summarize, the level is decent but there are some bugs and glitches so maybe you should play it with a friend to find out which parts are unplayable and playable with two or more players. My advice: mention that this level is only for one player, else way you'll have to change too much.

Just made an update, trying to fix the problems and incorporate the suggestions made by kirbyman62 and JustinArt!

Thank you for the feedback, Cpt. Yanni! Matter of fact I tested it with two players most of the time, but as it was always with the same person, I guess she just memorized the level the same as me and so we didn't experience many problems. I'll see what I can do about this, thank you for the advice!
