How to not let pistons/bolts go cookoo

Archive: 13 posts

tired of pistons or bolts going terribly wrong? well here is some tips to help.1. Don't pause/unpause. it messes the pistons and blots a lot.2. try to build the level design first before you start using pistons and bolts.3. don't undo. pistons and bolts will get a bit cookoo if you do. if it's already going wrong then delete the object and re-create it.4. now if you delete the piston when it's going wrong then A: your whole object is destroyed. B: your object thinks it is still connected to the piston or defying gravity. so you got to delete the whole object and re-build it.5. if your bolt is going wrong it's possible to adjust it the right way. it might be akward but you won't have to re-create it.6. before you start using pistons or bolts in your level then save a backup copy. if pistons/bolts destroy the whole level then atleast you have a backup. that's all i have to say to help. hope this helps you and some of you might say " why is this important?" it's because if your doing tons of logic for one object it might ruin your creation.you see lbp psp is not 100% on creating it's always devious so it might have errors like pistons and bolts have at lbp psp.2011-12-04 02:08:00

Update. remember. do any of these steps for jetpack too. if you glued the jetpack like a wrecking ball for example. it can move slightly in create mode. they can destroy objects and levels too.2012-08-11 06:53:00

Your method doesn't work for Jetpacks. They'll move every edit, NO exceptions.
Even emmited ones will emmit a little bit away from the original place.
But no worries, I invented a pretty waterproof method for Jetpacks too. Maybe I should make a tut for that.
