I was just wondering, what is the deal about clans? and what function do they have? And where can u join a clan?

Pointless. Clans have no place in LBP, as LBP isn't built for competition between 2 or more large groups of people. I'm all for people having their little social circles with individuals they call on for assistance in their projects, that's great, but that doesn't come about through grouping up with people at complete random, you get that simply through using sites like this one, or being really active in-game. But, I 'spose if you wanted to join one, you could either check the Happy Gadders section of this forum, or others like it. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time, TBQH. You could also text search LBP.me or in-game, but I dunno exactly what to try typing. 'Clan' might be the obvious choice, because loads of clans have 'Clan hangouts' and such, or showcase levels. Hilariously, said levels are often really lazily made.

Ok, let's be clear (as i have been part of a clan before, before it got disbanned) : To answer your questions - The deal about clans is mainly about being an organised, diverse, expansive, creative/play/sharing collective. (alot like a production team, but managed in a VERY different way. - It is normally function as such: > Contains a "head" whom oversees all sections. > section lead by section leader. > workers and grunts. - It's hard to find a good clan nowadays. Personally, i'd just find a small team to create with. When it comes to clans if you don't find a stable one, it's not worth it. PERSONALLY: I won't ever be in a clan again. This is for 2 reasons 1: i have a team, and we are a very efficiant (when we want to be) mechine. 2: Smaller Collaberatives are better than huge "corperate" clans. Sort of how dp works.

Yeah, clans are usually made by young people, so when people ask me if I want to be part of a clan I say no.
