Wont Let Specific Player In my Level
Archive: 6 posts
I am currently working on a level for LBPC6, and a player was interested in helping me. He wanted to see the level so I went in the level in create mode and invited him. It said he was joining, and then PSN said he went offline. Aparrently his PS3 froze, and continued to freeze 3 tries after. I invited him to my pod, then tried to go in the level. It just loaded for 10 minutes, so I asked him to leave, as a test. The exact same time he left, the level opened (apparently when he left, his PS3 froze again as well). Other players can get in this level as well, but not him, even when were in a group of 4, if he's there, we cant get in the level. Im Canadian and he has the UK copy of LBP2, dont think that matters though. This is a big deal considering Id like him on my team. Any help is appreciated. PS- Ive tried copying the whole level as an object, and placing it in a new blank level. Didn't work. Still froze | 2011-12-01 21:00:00 Author: Clayton Posts: 181 |
It's probably their internet connection, as I understand it, ps3 uses p2p which basically means the connection is only as strong as the weakest link (which would explain why it effects all of you or none of you, especially if it is only one player). The differing copies of the game should not e a valid problem if you cannot physically connect, why not ask the to create items for use? It's not a perfect solution but at least they could help with the contest (by the way good luck with that, it's a big challenge this time) Regards Dave | 2011-12-01 21:46:00 Author: ForgottenEnigma Posts: 1414 |

I also would like to ask, why this one level? ive went into his, he played levels online with me, and has entered my other levels with even higher thermo. I will try other methods, but its strange | 2011-12-01 23:36:00 Author: Clayton Posts: 181 |
Well it might not be that, I was only speculating. My ultimate theory is that these things just happen because they can... but thats not as helpful | 2011-12-02 00:34:00 Author: ForgottenEnigma Posts: 1414 |
Did you trying this at another time? It may have been someone else in his house was using too much bandwidth and didn't allow LBP2 enough bandwidth to do anything. If you try it again later it may work. Anyways who else was trying to help? XD | 2011-12-02 02:04:00 Author: Wolffy123 Posts: 406 |
This all was over the span of 2 days. But I do thank you both, and David, I guess nothings really helpful because this has no explanation fix XD. My only hope is that when I integrate this level (which is just one part of an entire project) into the entire thing, it'll let him play that at least | 2011-12-02 20:11:00 Author: Clayton Posts: 181 |
