"One in the Chamber" Help!

Archive: 5 posts

I need some help with my latest project, One in the Chamber. It will be a top-down version of Call of Duty: Black Ops' One in the Chamber gamemode (obviously) but some aspects aren't working.

I have it so if you DON'T have 0 points, it will allow you to shoot your gun, at the cost of losing 10 points each time. This is done like this: I used an AND gate to R1 and a REVERSED score sensor set to 0, the output of the AND gate is the Emitter and the score giver set to -10. For some reason, the emitter refuses to shoot, but if I disconnect the cables, it sprays everywhere. Can someone help me? It might not be much, but I will include you in my levels description and if there is a karma or heart system on this forum I will do that also.

Thanks in advance!

okay, according to your discription i would say that you forgot to have the emitter set to one shot.

Just to be sure, what happens if you hold R1? Does it shoot at periodic cycles? if so, then yeah thati's it. If not, then you may have to re make the emitter (place a new one and put in the same setup) and see if that helps.

So I should change the gun to shoot at 0.1 instead of 0.0?

Sorry for double post, I don't want it to One Shot, I want it so every kill earns you 10 points, each shot takes away 10 points

You can use a pulse to have a one shot shoot more than once. It just means that each time it is triggered it will trigger once regardless for how long the signal is on. It ges rid of nearly all of the other emitter options as it will fire when trigged. So delay and frequency aren't an issue.

In your current setup 0.1 is a better number to use.

I fixed it! Thank you for all of your help, I found the problem- Setting a score sensor to 0 in any circumstances will most likely not work, so I changed it to 10 and it worked WITHOUT TEN (twenty but not zero, yay!)

I will include you in my game's name. Thanks!
