From what I can teel, it is alot of yellow hologram emited with a gun, then it instantly destroys. (Too be honest, I've seen better in LBP 1.)2011-11-23 19:04:00

Do you think you could tell me the names of the creators in lbp 1 so I can get the tanks and study them
thanks =D

I may not be able to help you, but i'm pretty sure that what happens is that the hologram material is just being switched on and an emitter shooting out the bomb/missile/etc. Sorry if it's not much help, but that is all I can really figure from the video.
edit: I also just noticed that a smoke emitter is also being triggered at the same time as the hologram. It is not a very complicated mechanism. Just will take some work.

It's just an emitted shape that destroys itself. I'd guess that the shape is set to emit with 'expand' and destroy isnt changed. This results in the smoke. I'd also guess that the emitter is set to NOT ignore parent velocity which means it goes the same speed as the tank.

You could glue holo to the barrel and make it flick on with a pulse also, this could also cause a jet of smoke from a smoke emitter.

If you use a piece of yellow hologram and set it to dissolve using an emitter or destroyer it will dissolve into yellow smoke, so there would need to be another piece of holo stickered black or something in order to create the effect in the video.

Personally I emit an animated muzzle flash that lasts for 4 frames, trigger a few smoke generators, return barrel to loading position then trigger white/bluish smoke generator for the smoke from the fume extractor before returning the barrel to the last indexed position. Remember that most of the "smoke" generated during firing will be from dust being kicked up from the ground.

I would suggest to listen to Anyeh more than me. I'm pretty sure they have a far superior tank published when compared to my non existent one...2011-11-25 06:33:00

Once, in LBP1 I made a carriage that emitted 'sparkles.' These were just tiny yellow Christmas lights that shot out of about 20 emitters at different speeds in a burst formation. You could make a sweet burst effect by triggering the sound and triggeringhalf of the emitters (which don't need to emit christmas lights in lbp2 thank God... use hologram bits) at super speed, then trigger a fourth of the emitters at a slightly slower speed and like 0.1 seconds behind the first set, and finally shoot the last fourth at a lower speed and 0.3 seconds behind the first set followed with smoke at 0.3 to 0.5 seconds behind the first set.

So then it will look like BOOM! Boom! boom pssssssssss... within one second.

EDIT: To be clear... this will NOT look like a triple round burst. Since this happens so fast, it will flow into one big boom that fades. A single burst of fire just looks like a "slap" so to speak... it's sharp and comes as quickly as it goes. But my version looks like a punch... it has an initial "impact" and continues with a fading follow through that looks more powerful and realistic than the "pop" of a single burst of "fire"
