Can anyone tell me why when i try to make a something and i put sound on its the sound only plays once and wont carry on? | 2011-11-20 21:36:00 Author: Unknown User |
Could be a few reasons. Firstly, different sounds behave differently. Sounds with Asterisks ( * ) are continuous sounds. Things like motors, or the wind, or crowds of people talking. These items will play continuously. Secondly, sound effects without Asterisks only play once, and then you need to activate them again. If you want them to make a noise repeatedly, you must wire up some logic that will activate and de-activate at the rate you want the sounds to replay. So, for instance, things like horns, or impact noises, or whatever else only makes a sudden sound. If you're using a continuous sound that's somehow stopping, it must be wired up to some logic that isn't outputing an On signal when you need it to. | 2011-11-20 21:40:00 Author: Ostler5000 Posts: 1017 |
yeah, what ostler said. have whatever you want to set the sound of imput into a counter set to 1 and the output of the counter into the sound. now also take the output of that counter and put it into a timer set to how long you want the sound to play. put the output of the timer into its own reset and also into the reset of the counter. that's it, now you can play the sound as long as you like by adjusting the timer | 2011-11-20 23:51:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
