Does anyone even still play lbp?

Archive: 34 posts

Be honest, does anyone even still play Little big planet 2? I mean, with all the great games out such as Modern Warfare 3, most of my friends have been playing that instead of lbp. And when i mean play, I don't mean getting on for a couple minutes to check out cool pages, or seeing if your levels are getting played, but actual full level building. It doesn't seem like that. Heck i've been playing Uncharted 3 most of the time. So have you guys been playing?2011-11-16 02:24:00

Yeah? I'm on LBP almost everyday just like over half of my PSN friends still do too. Tons of people play/create on LBP all the time. Yoohoho~ that's a silly thing to ask on a LBP forum. *mew2011-11-16 02:27:00

I still play and create. Not all the time, though. Got plenty of other distractions that, depending on my mood, deserve my priority.2011-11-16 13:17:00

LBP is still where all my time goes, I have a couple levels in the making that will be published soon. I can't ever see myself not playing this game lol. I have 3 or 4 new games that I have barely played too. Hopefully I'll finish them someday...2011-11-16 16:41:00

I think most people here still plays LittleBigPlanet, I mean this is a fansite and all, but more because playing other games typically feeds the creative complex of our minds. Much like reading a book helps produce better writers, I believe playing other games gives us more ideas for our own.

For me, I actually dont play other games much because of LBP2. I dont think I can take a break from it until I can get a level out and the new recent site contest interest me, so I dont think I will be playing the awesome Uncharted 3 collecting dust by the tv for a while.

I play everyday unless I'm on CoD, MAG, or letting my sister play Disgaea 4.
And heck, I have 2 big top-down projects.

What a silly question to ask!
Ofcourse people still play LBP2.
There may be coming out lots of cool new games.
But in a month or two, when all those games are completed, more people will come back to LBP2
That's the fun thing with LBP. It can't be finished, unlike other games.

Ain't that like going to a Call of Duty forum and ask if anyone still plays COD?
Just saying...

I love LBP in that even if you have a few minutes to spare, you can play or create. I quite often get on for a short time just to create something small or simple in my level. Other games I won't play unless I know I have the time to sit and really play. Although my kids have taken over my PS3 because they got the Eyepet Move edition a couple of days ago, so it's new and exciting for them.2011-11-16 23:22:00

I'm too addicted to LBP to play most other games... alot of games I want to play end up gathering dust because of it unless they're for handhelds... I spend all weekend on it. XD

I may have to get The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but I may or may not be there for awhile. I just love playing LBP too much.

Probably the best PLAY MY LEVEL post I have ever seen. Perfectly timed, and in context and fills me with anticipation.

Skyrim is calling and I spent a long time last weekend playing that. I do t care much for CoD and never got around to finishing Uncharted 2. During the week I'm still creating as much as I can and should be doing so for a while longer. Other games will always beckon but LBP still offers a unique experience. I think people will always check out what's going on.

In the short run, more "refined" games such as MW3 or Arkham City are the winners; they have dedicated gameplay types and because they exist to tell a single story they will naturally be more focused in their campaign modes than something like LBP.

In the long run however, LBP2 reigns supreme; it's "campaign" mode doesn't essentially end, as the quality of user-created content is so high that it sometimes even betters' the built in story levels! No other game has boasted such depth and delivered unending possibilities! You only have to look at the first person demo trailer created by SteveBigGuns to see how versatile and beautiful this game can be.

Conclusion? The only other game that comes close to delivering the amount of potential hours you play it is something like Skyrim or Oblivion, and even they only have so much to give; LBP/2, by its very nature, is infinite...

FYI I will soon be playing Arkham City (the COD series doesn't interest me), so perhaps temporarily I will put LBP2 down, but only until I suck all the fun out of Arkham!

I still play it, though not as much recently because I've been putting a lot of time into Arkham Asylum. As soon as I have time to figure out the logic for my next level, I can see myself spending a lot more time on it. I've already sorted out some of my soundtrack 2011-11-17 10:27:00

For me yes every week, including creating my next upcoming part 2 level. In between it's Gears of War 3 but I'm finding hard to keep up with all these games I have sitting on my shelf. Once my second level is out I will take a small break to play all my other games yet I'll still come back for a dose of LBP.2011-11-17 11:30:00

I hadn't bought a game since LBP2 in February. And recently I bought Batman: Arkham City, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Uncharted 3, Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD, and Skyrim. I kinda compensated for not buying any games the whole year by buying a lot of them in these last 2 months. I already finished Batman and Uncharted, and I'm slowly progressing on the rest. I'll have plenty to play for some months.

Know what? Even with all this stuff to play and even without being able to log into the PSN through this wifi to go check new levels online, there isn't a week I don't go creating random stuff in LBP2, trying to get inspiration for a new level.

Well considering that I'm not able to get back on my ps3 until Christmas break and I'm creeping around the forum still, I guess I am partially still playing it 2011-11-21 05:12:00

It just happened to coincide with Batman/Uncharted.

To elaborate a bit more, I use my PS3 solely for LBP. I do, however, play other games on handhelds, I just prefer them. Even so, however, the last game I got was Okamiden in July (which I still haven't finished, actually).2011-11-21 17:01:00

It's still the default game in our system. On almost every day playing new levels, creating something, or connecting with friends.2011-12-23 23:58:00

For the past few months, it's pretty much been the only PS3 game I play. I play demos here and then though, and I do occasionally take a few weeks of a break from LBP to play something different, which is mostly on other systems though.2011-12-26 11:01:00

I still play lbp, just not as much as I used to.
I guess it's because I decided to make levels casually instead of taking it seriously.

Well, I used to play it like hell(PG-13 forums ftw), mostly because the only other options were PS2 games (DDR and Eyetoy stuff) and Guitar Hero, etc. etc.. LBP was sort of the first PS3 game I had bought myself, and sort of the only sit-down-and-use-thumbs game for my PS3(unless you sit down while playing Guitar Hero!!), so I enjoyed it, with the creativity and awesomeness. Then, I purchased LBP™2 which eventually had more active features than simply posing for a PlayStation?Eye picture. Awesome. Then playtime was slowly shared as I bought MAG™, ModNation Racers, and more. At the moment it is sort of those few games with small playtime unless a friend is over or something, and it is nearly half and half:

I was going to do some awesome Adobe Fireworks magic, but then I thought that transparentizing images would be too hard.

Great games. They both include equal amounts of murder.
