Sackbot Acting with Controllinator Controls/Weapon

Hello LittleBigCentral.

I'm currently working on a level where the main character is a controlled sackbot that can pick up, change, and use weapons such as pistols and flamethrowers.
The player can pick up a pistol, use the right stick to aim, and R1 to shoot, which triggers a flash effect, bullet emitter, smoke effect, and a gunshot sound.
However, I'd like to add NPCs which would be able to look like they're shooting in the same way.
Is there any possible way to implement my weapon logic on a non-controlled sackbot, so that I can record an acting scene and still have the gun controls and be able to shoot so that it looks just like if the player were shooting? Or do I have to figure out a way for a seperate emitter to just be in time with regular acting arm movements to look like he's aiming and shooting?
If so, can someone help me with either of these?

If you didn't already know you can wire inputs into a controlinator on a sackbot set to override it, so if you wired a battery to L2 and the left stick it'd make the sackbot point for example.

If it's just for a cutscene it'd probably just be easiest to match the effects on a sequencer or with timers like you wrote.

Recording a behavior on a Sackbot set to Act doesn't record the actions, it records the buttons you pressed. So if you have custom controls and powers on a bot, it will work the same when acting. And a quick tip: if you want the bot to return to another behavior afterward, just end the recording with a press on an unused button such as L3. Then, hook a controllinator's L3 output to the behavior you want. For more, go see the video tutorials by comphermc about movies and sackbots, especially the sackbots AI and sackbots acrobatics.
