Hello (digital) World!

Where to start... well to keep it all short and plain. Hello I am CarfDarko. 29 year old creative retro gamer with a love for creativity. Although I am a gamer in a wide arrange of genre's LBP is something that kept trying to lure me back with that something different which that game has to offer.
Although I play the game for years already I never really dived into the creative part of the game cause it felt a bit to... well... simplistic. Dont get me wrong but being a part time creative hobbiest who likes to play with Half-Life Hammer and Unreal Development Kit... LPB feels... different. But I changed the perspective now I know WHAT is going on the background of the game. Its wonderfull!

Sadly... all of the above happend since I am at home... forced for medical reasons. I lost hearing on my left ear and for those creative people over here... after making music for more then 14 years (part-time silly hobby) it hurts to know what you cannot release that same enery no more, for at least quiet some time... so I had to find something else... to release that what is inside my head.

I re-played ALL the tutorials once more and sit down... for days. Playing, understanding, cursing... everything we gamers has to go through from time to time... but now I am getting there.

I released 2 levels so far, but the last one is for me just... a milestone... and makes me realize that I NEED to make MOAR!!!

Well I hope this gives a little bit a good introduction to me. I hope to receive some feedback on my level itself cause its always good to know if others share the creative feeling with what I created .
So IF you take a dive into my creative world, please leave some constructive critism cause I still got lots to learn.

The only other thing I want to share for now is:

Love being creative, love every second of it cause there is nothing more beautifull then make something out of completely nothing.

And... be carefull with your ears...

Umm, as for your introduction, I'm so sorry to hear about all that, and as Lady Luck said, I hope things get better for you.

There's so many friendly people here so if you have any questions then always feel free to ask any of us and we'll try to help in the best way we can. There's always people here eager to help out LBPC'ers.

This is actually my favorite site and it'll always be my main forum I'll visit, and as I see everyone else make efforts to make this site lovely for us such as the Contest Crew, the Spotlight Crew, the wonderful and nice Mods, our awesome Admin. I just love this site, and I've had fun here as long as I've been here. So I'm pretty sure with all the awesome stuff here you'll have the same fun as all of us here.

This is a great place to find great friends, find tutorials, and just generally have fun with contests and posting.
So just stick to the rules and most importantly.. Have fun!

If you're looking for a great level to play, this would be the places to go: LBPCentral Spotlight Archive (http://spotlight.lbpcentral.com/) for endless awesome levels. Or if you wanna play new levels posted in the Level Showcase (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?40-Level-Showcase) to play them, or even review them! Whatever your desire, head on into the Level Showcase (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?40-Level-Showcase) section. If you have a Level you'd like to get some feedback on, then you need to post it in the Level Showcase also. You just might even get a Spotlight! Who knows all the possibilities here at LBPC and in the LBP world? They're endless!

Also, if you're looking for a friendly competition then you should join in on the monthly contest (thanks to the awesome Contest Crew). Just be sure to read up on the rules for it and the basic requirements so you'll be fully informed on the contest.
Although I think the deadline is November 15th (The Dark Side Of Disney (Contest #4) (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=63883-LBPC-Contest-5-%96-The-Dark-Side-of-Disney!), but since there's a new Contest revealed each month then you can always enter those if you want, not to sound pushy. Hi CarfDarko. It is a pleasure to have you join LBPC. And as Smurf and Maxi said above, that was an outstanding intro post.

As artists, expressing ourselves in a myriad of creative forms, I can't help but feel creativity is a very special gift with the power to transport us anywhere our imagination can take us. And I see you have found imagination's hidden pearl, and the beauty it reflects deep into our souls. Treasure that always.

Keep exploring! And I'll do a bit of that myself, as I have Aztec Temple queued.

And even more heartfull welcomes . Thank you everyone for the positive vibes.
This place is magical and has got a potential to open up a new creative world for me.
For sure that I will dive into all the users which responded in this treath to check out your creativity and learn more about it.
The last thing I wanted is to write out a whining story about me but at least give a good overview about the reason why I ended up here .
A combination of the right timing (not the best in my life but I always try to keep my head up) and just a thing which always attemped to sparkle
my intrest but never dived into it.

Sadly there is not much which I can share (yet) so for now I can only give this (carf.newgrounds.com/audio) for the creative users under us who also do things besides
LBP, like flash and other creative software. On Newgrounds I got a collection of music which is all under CC rights. Need something? Be my guest and use it under the creative commons. Its a wide variaty of video game music, hiphop beats and various styles of trance.

Welcome! Glad ya made it!

So sorry to hear about your hearing! Is it only your left ear? I trust at some point you can regain a bit down the road or hear in your right ear! ..but there is much more to unlock inside the creative mind. I hope LBP helps in some way during your rehabilitation.
