posting levels help

Archive: 6 posts

i just posted up my very first level and it looked pretty cool. i didn't know how to do it so i put in my own links. after i posted it i realised this site somehow puts it up as i see other levels... but i then went back in and deleted my own level link and now the snazziness has GONE!!! what have i done wrong? i've tried looking at other peoples posts but i still don't see what i've done wrong.

HELP! it looks so amateurish

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean.

You put your link in where?
Are you talking about the showcase forum?

yeah, the showcase section. it appeared like everyone elses posts put prior to posting it up (because i didn't know how it worked) i put my own links and text it. when i posted it, it had my level displayed all shiny and stuff with the description of the level perfectly placed. so i went back in and deleted the pathetic attempt i'd made and the shiny, happy, snazzy stuff disappeared too

I did something similar once. I assume you're talking about the LBP.me data that this site pulls and displays all cool and stuff?

I assume what you've done is you've deleted the [lbpmelevelurl] tags.
Just retype those, or use the button in advanced edit or whatever, with the LBP.me url in the middle, submit the edited post, and then refresh the page. And it should re-appear.

Here's an example from one of my older threads I copypasta'd;

[lbpmelevelurl ]http://lbp.me/v/y771ew[/lbpmelevelurl ]
(I inserted a space before the close brackets, cause the code disappears in the post otherwise. The version you use, shouldn't have those spaces.)

if you go to edit your OP, you will see a field for the lbp.me URI. Paste in the appropriate part of your lbp.me page, and it should update.

You may need to go into advanced mode for that field to show. I've not tried to change it. It should be one of the first fields above the body of the post.

EDIT-this field only appears in the showcase forum as far as I am aware. Sometimes it can take a little while for the updated links to show
