Hi forum! Long time no see huh? Im here to tell you my 5 months of slow work has been published in the form SS2: Mad Man's Mansion! Its a 2 part level that features high detail and challenging platforming and is also accompanied by a track made by Velvet--Audio called Abandoned House. It picks up right from the end of Steampunk Skallywags 2: Scrap Yard (http://lbp.me/v/0-f5ed). Be ready for a challenge...also play in 1p for best experience. Hope you enjoy! ohhh ho ho ho, this is sooo queued! I just now finished playing this and wow oh wow! You say it took you 5 months to do this? It would have taken me 5 years to pull off this masterpiece. The visuals are just amazing. I loved how you made the entrance to this level. That was pretty cool and for me, really set the tone for the level. You have filled this level with so much detail it's unbelievable. I mean everywhere you look is just filled with pipes and cogs and contraptions and is just epic. The gameplay is challenging and fun and is well balanced, though in a few places it is downright diabolical. A lot of original playforming in here and though I despise the rotating sponge, you've incorporated it in a few new ways where I didn't mind them at all. Awesome level. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Outstanding job.

ive played it maybe 2 weeks ago and i must say this is an masterpiece in visualls as gameplay it was it worth to wait 5 month 4 this epic andventure the contraptions and the mechanics are just amazing and very nice details u put alot of heart in this masterpiece and it was a pleasure to play this epic masterpiece so thank you mr. l1ghtmare for this

This is actually one of my fav levels. And even tho uve been around awhile and have plenty of published work, I think this was my first visit to ur planet (so I've lots more to look forward to I hope!) Right away you captured me with the entrance and your gift for creating never stopped shinning, right thru every part. The obstacles were clearly tweaked to perfection. The gameplay never stopped, it's actually amazing just how well you did this. And I don't even want to bring up decor because while I want to say its all kinds of awesome, I'm also saying in my head - oh crap, I'm never gonna have the patience to bring anything I make up to anywhere near here!! Music deserves a mention to, actually just visited velvets gallery y'day and honestly, he/she is a genius! Very fitting... Also, I messed up a few multipliers and I think 2 or 3 deaths on my 17k run, so if I ever go back, im not stopping til I see a score begining with a 2 And that alone is testament to how great this level is, because I can count on 1 hand how many levels I've actually played over and over to learn it intimately and go for a nice score and still have some fingers to spare. This may be redundant, but since I don't know u, I feel I gotta say it this. I hope u dont let the negative comments get to u or affect any decisions on future work, because u certainly know what ur doing, so please keep doing it!

Another awesome steampunk level from L1GhTmArE! It has been few weeks since I played this level, but good thing you posted a YouTube video of this thread. It really helped refresh my memory of this level. VISUALS: The steampunk visuals looked intriguing. The decoration and material usage of this level really gives this level a steampunk look. SOUND: Great use of The Vault Interactive music in part 1. Also, Velvet--Audio has once again added an amazing music to part 2. His music masterpieces makes me want to hire him to make a super-epic boss battle music for me. GAMEPLAY: The obstacles are ridiculously challenging but a lot of fun. It has a lot of great ideas such as the in/out flaming platform and bounce pad obstacles. OVERALL: This steampunk level is a blast. A yay, heart, and positive review.

Yeh, love this one! Reading other peoples thoughts about the visuals, well I've played it about 6 or so times since you published, and I know it's a Steampunk theme, but I've never really spent any time looking at the details, the gameplay is THAT great. Glad you did a thread.

This level is incredibly expansive. The overall experience was one of awe, pleasure, and even some hatred. The environment was great, music was great, and the gameplay was fun. My only nitpick would be the number of segments that seemed just a little bit too much alike. It seemed like everything involved in-out mover after in-out mover. Not that it was necessarily bad-- it was still incredibly fun -- just a little repetitive. Once again, my only complaint. Everything that I didn't mention was also top-notch. C:

Yes this is a masterpiece! Something I find interesting is how most people (young kids I'm assuming) complain about the difficulty of a level. While I did find this to be a challenge at first, Steampunk Scallywags 2: Madman's Mansion has that level of perfection in its craftmanship that keeps you coming back again and again. I must complete this bubble chain. I will find out how you get up there and get to that secret. I can honestly say this one is in my top 5 favorite levels of all time. To me, this is a gift to all the LBP Vets out there who have conquered thousands of platformers. The detail is astounding without being gaudy or cluttered. I'd say this is probably the best looking platformer I've ever played or at the very least tied with Skunk Factory 1. I could go on and on about this level but I will just end it with a Thank you l1ghtmare and to everyone else who read this long-winded review, GO PLAY IT.

Just letting you know I really did enjoy this level. It looks fantastic and plays great. I kept dying near the end when you need to switch layers and jump from platform to platform. It was way too frustrating for me. I gave up after twenty tries. Pondered a bit about that ugly face I gave you and I removed it but I guess the game didn't register. I honestly really liked it.
