I didn't see this thread already. Please forgive me if it was buried inside another one. I think an enhanced costume editor would be great. Add the ability to rotate your sackboy on 3 axis and zoom in on him. They could make it so that when you enter the costume popit, your sackboy takes up the other half of the screen. If you're in multiplayer, then it takes up the other part of the quadrant you have already been assigned to. They could even have it so that if other players are still playing the level, your sackboy basically hovers in front of the game in that quadrant until you exit the popit, where it then lands on the nearest available surface, like when you unhover during level creation. Also, once in this mode, one of the shoulder buttons could be used to modify the behavior of the sticks to enable zoom and rotation for more accurate sticker and decoration placement.

Agreed. It's annoying trying to put on a Sticker/Decoration when your Sackboy starts to randomly get a seizure.

which reminds me that this mode should ALSO "freeze" the sackboy's movements. If there's anything that makes sticker placement a pain, it's the constant motion.

Well, it sounds like a good idea, but if it's going to freeze a sackboy, then I would only want to see it done in single player in create mode. If you can stop sackboy moving and just have him drop mid game play, that might be a cheat to get you through all sorts of obstacles in a not good way.

Maybe freeze and zoom in the quadrant like I said, but not make him hover, just leave him where the popit was opened. If other players keep going, he gets left behind just like it is now. That, or confine this mode to the pod? A lot of people use the pod controls as a way to apply back stickers.

That, or confine this mode to the pod? A lot of people use the pod controls as a way to apply back stickers. If this 'mode' did come to be, then it being in the Pod wouldn't matter, as you have described it in a way that would allow the view of Sackboy to change.
