Captin America (with working Shield

A Creation Ive been working on for some time! Play as Captin america attempting to save captured soilders from hydras factory! With working shield (block, throw, throw directional & track shield) as well as detailed self made backgrounds (glitched)

You might want to mention the comic book-esque intro movie you did: http://lbp.me/v/7kfyep

Wow, this was impressive! The control and aiming systems for the shield were well thought out, and the 3D glitch was well-used in the factory room. I hope you find a way to recreate that shot with the flaming factory beneath him and Red Skull in the next part.

If I have any suggestions, it's that you might want to change Cap's appearance to match the intro movie - make him bigger or at least give him a buffer torso model if possible. Secondly (And I also posted this ingame), you forgot to include an end-of-level scoreboard at the end to enable high scores; adding an extra item of some sort for acing the level (Thanks for including the Hydra logo as a prize bubble, BTW) would encourage people to go back and perfect their shield fighting.

I had honestly thought about making a Captain America level at some point, but you've trumped anything I could have come up with. Good work, and I'm looking forward to the parts that will hopefully follow!

It's pretty good, showing restraint and not having a plethora of moves is good also, how you throw the shield works really well, although I think that you could remind the player if they never press shield return. I missed it the first time and couldn't work out how to do it. I liked the shield cam and the design choices you make.

I do think that you should investigate using sackbot checkpoints as it is a little off putting seeing my self spawn at each death. I also think that you need to block off the thing layer at the second vent. I got really stuck at that part trying to bounce the shield down to heir the two switches. Only to realise that it was bouncing BEHIND the scenery after a few minutes. The block works well also, but there is a little delay before it activates, which catch me out, if it is intentional it may help mentioning that it is not instant.

The comic book style works pretty well also.

Mr_Fusion Glad you enjoyed it! though yes i agree I should remention the return shield button as id not really thought about that! I wasnt aware of any delay in the shield block! though it may have been because you had already thrown your shield out (and therfore you cannot use it to block with (as you dont have it)! or do you mean the fact that the shield has to adjust angle to deflect!? although id wanted it so it isnt always a 100% block chance. I like the skill factor of the game, & the timming is a great part of it!

But Glad ya all having fun and giving honest feedback! keep it up!

Ive done a fix so that it reminds the player more in the begining tutorial stage (outside the factory)

I wasnt even aware of the gap so thanks for that. I've now blocked it off!

I have now added a Scoreboard so that Scores are displayed & added a Ace Level reward!
