Chrome Glitched Sackbot. NEED HELP
Archive: 8 posts
I recently found out about the chrome glithch and that chrome glitched sackbot's can survive underwater, and that there is a glitch where you can turn objects where they won't look transparent, but still have the effects of a chrome glitched object. So after figuring this out, my goal was to make a good swimming sackbot that can go in real water. My problem though is that once I chrome glitch a sackbot, I can no longer edit it's logic/animations, it cannot move, and I cannot control it through a controlinator. Can anyone give me soulutions on how to solve this problem or possible alternatives to the solution. I really want the sackbot I'm planning to have not just be able to platform, but be alble to enter, move about, and exit real water, for swimming is an important part to my storyline. | 2011-11-05 00:11:00 Author: TREMIC1 Posts: 263 |
Try coping it, then placing it again. If that doesn't work, I doubt anything will. | 2011-11-05 00:28:00 Author: Undarivik Posts: 442 |
if you have to do it again set it up to control the AI wirelessly. that way you can retain the integrity of the logic because it'll be separate from the glitch. then just adjust the logic and put it back on the glitched sackbot. | 2011-11-05 00:36:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |

Just to be sure, what do you mean by this method. Can you explain this to me. | 2011-11-14 01:44:00 Author: TREMIC1 Posts: 263 |
Just to be sure, what do you mean by this method. Can you explain this to me. i didn't think it through properly. you can't use a sensor and a tag on the same chip (they won't recognise each other) so what i suggested wouldn't work sadly. the idea i was suggesting was: set it up with a selector. a sensor into the inputs and tags attached to the outputs. now instead of putting your logic on the chip you are about to glitch, put it on a chip that you can save out before you glitch it. on this chip you would have other sensors to pick up the tags you light which would go into a selector with the AI/Animations. then all you have to do if things go wrong is replace the chip you added 'after' the glitch. like i said though, you can't, sensors and tags won't recognise each other on the same chip. the only other way would be to have a third sensor and selector setup that follows sackbot around with everything else you've set up such as healthbar. then you could achieve the wireless idea, but it seems a bit long winded: sackbot chip to holo chip to chip on sackbot chip lol. i suppose it's worth a try | 2011-11-14 02:11:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
Gah, how'd I miss this?! I can help you out with this if you want; send me a friend request and I can help you out on Wednesday or the weekend when I'm online. Here's some advice, since I recently perfected controlling chrome glitched sackbots: The sackbot will be immobile and unselectable at first. To get around this, do these two things before you chrome glitch it: 1. Have a loop of wire going out of and back into its circuitboard 2. Have a piece of string attached to the Sackbot Once you chrome glitch it, select the end of the string that's connected to its head to make it subject to physics again, and then delete the string. To open its circuitboard, highlight the bit of wire coming out of it and press R1. | 2011-11-14 20:19:00 Author: Blue Helmet Posts: 306 |
So I got good swimming logic developed. but does anyone know how to make logic so that it can walk on solid materials and jump out of the water? | 2011-11-30 23:37:00 Author: TREMIC1 Posts: 263 |
For that, I think the only option would be to make it a physical body out of invisible material, attach it to the Sackbot, and use movers to replicate running and jumping. | 2011-12-01 03:03:00 Author: Blue Helmet Posts: 306 |
