USB Headset Problem
Archive: 6 posts
I have a "Plantronics .Audio 626 DSP" Headset and I'm trying to get it to work with my PS3, as in, I'd like to be able to hear in-game sound come out of it. I've googled it and all I see is that "any USB headset will work" and that "you have to change the settings for it". So I have changed the settings and I've done what I think I could but still I don't hear anything coming out of it at all, nor will the mic on it work. ![]() Also, the headset works with the computer just fine, and the mic too. The headset also makes a little "blip" noise when turning the PS3 on or off, so it has some kind of connection to it. | 2011-11-03 23:59:00 Author: warlord_evil ![]() Posts: 4193 |
Did you set the Audio Input and Output devices to be your headset? | 2011-11-04 00:14:00 Author: Silver39 ![]() Posts: 1703 |
With mine I have to turn on the head set, go to settings, USB Headset Config,Input device (Triangle) Connect. Then I get a confirmation beep. | 2011-11-04 00:29:00 Author: Lady_Luck__777 ![]() Posts: 3458 |
I have a similar headset, maybe the same, mine can only be synched to one device at a time. You might have to un-pair it from your computer. | 2011-11-04 03:35:00 Author: Pookachoo ![]() Posts: 838 |
Sorry for no reply, I kinda forgot about the problem (it isn't exactly a big concern, just really an annoyance). Did you set the Audio Input and Output devices to be your headset? Yes, I did, but to no avail. With mine I have to turn on the head set, go to settings, USB Headset Config,Input device (Triangle) Connect. Then I get a confirmation beep. I don't think I saw such a setting, I'll have to look again. I have a similar headset, maybe the same, mine can only be synched to one device at a time. You might have to un-pair it from your computer. It only has one USB cord and was not plugged into anything else. | 2011-11-09 01:57:00 Author: warlord_evil ![]() Posts: 4193 |
Same with mine, but for instance: if it's been pared with the cell phone, you have to un-pair it through the cell phone's settings before the PS3 will recognize the headset. | 2011-11-13 04:49:00 Author: Pookachoo ![]() Posts: 838 |
