DC Universe Online(MMO)--Free to Play Online for PS3!

I just spotted it in the store, Im surpised noone is playing/talking about this? Anyone getting this? The Ps3 doesnt have to many MMo's, or free ones at that. It takes a ton of memory, like 14 Gigs, but it is free.

How good this is, well we will have to see. Hopefully its not like Free Realms...		2011-11-02 14:41:00

I played the Beta a while back--I think you would like it ALOT better than free realms( if you did like that game), however, Im not sure how much content is held back from the free accounts. I mostly like PvE, but some of the PvP fights that broke out in the beta were crazy lol2011-11-02 14:59:00

Yea I'll add you when I get outa school( should be studying now but..yeh). I dont remember, but cant we change severs? I know FF XI you couldnt--or i just didnt know how .

Oh yea heres the differences in the free versions (http://www.dcuniverseonline.com/free/) for anyone who was curious. I think the main thing that sucks is free accounts cannot Item trade. Though if i like it, I may upgrade to Premium anyway.		2011-11-02 15:11:00

To be premium, you just need to spend 5 bucks. And there is a 10 dollar expansion pack. So ya. :/I would play now, but i has some classes onoez2011-11-02 15:22:00

I'm going to go villain. Mainly because in the BETA my main guy was a hero in PVP. But apparently my internet went out while I was at school just long enough for the DL to stop being able to access the Game Assets... So it went 11% in 10 hours... -_-" Going to have my mom check it periodically tomorrow... Oh well....2011-11-03 00:51:00

I bought it when it released. It is actually very very fun. Can be a bit difficult at times though. What has been stopping me from playing has been the subscription though. Maybe I will get back on to my guy sometime.2011-11-03 01:42:00

^ Yep its free to play now and you would automatically be upgraded to premium from what I understand.

You guys choosing villains then? I probably will too, heroes are getting pretty lame to me anyway hehe. I probably will start off on the PvE server, then switch to PvP later. I am going to need a really good class for PvP matches.		2011-11-03 02:04:00

Yea I will add you guys, i dont really get access to my ps3 during the week until Thursday after work. So i havent been able to get on yet, but I should be on a lot after work that though, Most of my free time is on the last four days of the week.

Im playing now..kinda. I barely got in and then got disconnected a little way in to the tutorial. I am on a new character called SoundBarrier on the PVE server. I thought rifle and gadgets would be kind of boring but it is actually really fun

Played the Beta and quite enjoyed it.
the only thing stopping me was the monthly subscription and my miserly Scottish racial stereotype.

Yep, should be able to find it in the Playstation store--people that do pay do have options for more content, but its not enforced or in your face like it is in Free Realms. I actually regret telling my roommates about it because they are always on and I never have time to play it lol2011-11-07 15:29:00

Hmm, I'm too impatient for something like this but I do hope it'll be fun to play for others. I know this might seem off-topic, but I'm not really sure where else to put it, but when I had purchased 'Batman: Arkham City', one of the things I had gotten was this code that when redeemed, gives you a 'chance' to join the beta for this game, 'Gotham City Imposters'. Doesn't seem like anything I'll be playing, but if anyone's interested, I can PM it to you, but it might work only for US people, since I'm in the U.S., and like I said, it says you'll get a 'chance' in the beta, no guarentee from them it seems....2011-11-12 01:41:00
