Tread Carefully [1P]

Archive: 8 posts

I've published a new puzzle level.
Its a top down, grid based puzzler.
The aim of the game is to move from the red tile to the green tile whilst removing all of the other tiles.
Normal white tiles will disappear after you step off of them.
Darker tiles take two steps.

Each puzzle can be reset if you make a mistake and puzzles can also be skipped if necessary.

My roommate and I handed the controller back and forth while puzzling over this neat minigame. Almost every board in the game made us scratch our heads for a few seconds before a solution presented itself, and on more than one occasion we were forced to stop and rethink our strategies.

The ability to rotate the playing field seems more a nifty little novelty than a necessary piece of the game; more than once I forgot I had the ability to do so. On larger boards, perhaps ones that scroll, this ability would become entirely needed.

The look of the level is very plain, indeed, and somehow that almost works for it. Were you to add a ton of decorations, it would take away from the real draw, which is the puzzles themselves.

Overall a real fun little brainteaser, with the potential for massive expansion (bonus squares, large maps, etc).

No F4F required, just thought I'd give you my two cents.

Ooh, another SneakySteve puzzler. Awesome

Got it queued.

Now, I do believe that you already owe me some feedback, but I'll let you off. I'll leave some feedback for this after I've played it. If you could do the same for my BattleSnake level, that'd be fantabulous. Ta

I played this level a week ago (I knew I forgot a level to post a feedback on last week) and it's a really fun and tricky puzzle.

VISUALS:
The game board looks really good. It has good camera angle change, and the effects of blocks executed well.

SOUND:
Great music choice for this level.

GAMEPLAY:
The moving the game piece is a lot of fun. It gets trickier throughout the level as the difficulty increases on each puzzle. Good thing there's a skip option, otherwise I'll be stuck playing this game for a hour. I only skipped 3 puzzles (I think).

OVERALL:
This puzzle is a must play. A yay and heart.

Oh good, I'm glad this thread has been bumped so I can finally leave my feedback. I didn't want to double post

Great puzzle game. As above, I gave it a yay and a heart. I beat Justin in the sense that I only skipped 2 puzzles. The one I had the most trouble with had a large ring of squares with a row of doubles on top, and a smaller square with alternating doubles and singles in the top left. I just could not fathom how to do it.

It all looks very clean, and typically well presented (I would expect nothing less from yourself ).

Good work.
