Sackboy's Haunted Halloween Forest

Hi Folks!

I worked really hard on this level and busted my hump to get it done by Halloween. Luckily I finished the level just in time

Well, you didn't break your promise. I did enjoy it. It was a fun level, even if it was a tad dark for my liking at the start.

Those baby spiders gave me the shivers lol. Something about little crawly things just bugs me.

Very fun level, and some really nicely designed scenes. I especially enjoyed the boss battles.		2011-11-01 22:58:00

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this. You created a really spooky atmosphere and the boss battles were excellent (and I know how hard it is to get that sort of thing right). The gameplay was good and the visuals too. This level deserves many more plays. It's enough to make you weep when you see a level like this with only 7 plays.

I have to say there were a couple of minor niggles. It was so dark at the beginning that I fell to my death a couple of times simply because I couldn't see that there was a gap to be jumped. That's always going to be irritating to players. Maybe you could put in some subtle lighting in those spots. Also, in the spider boss battle I fell to my death from the bridge about 5 times due to layer shifting problems. Given that you're trying to avoid the small spiders and the descending electrified hazards, it's very annoying to be shifted off the bridge just because you jumped at the wrong point/place.

Overall though, this was geuinely fun to play and I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.

EDIT: I've just seen that your thread is not a F4F thread. I think you'd get more people playing your level if you made it F4F and left feedback for people who would then return the favour. Good luck!		2011-11-03 19:28:00

Hi guys, Thanks for the feedback.. I really enjoyed the comments. I didn't realize that I didn't make this a F4F so I fixed that... lol.

I will republish with some of the suggestions mentioned.

Another cool thing (if you care) is that I recorded almost every minute of creation and streamed it to Twitch.tv (Justin.tv)
