Best LBP2 DLC Content

Archive: 8 posts

So I just picked up a $20 PSN card today and I was wondering what is your most favorite LBP2 DLC content? There is so many to choose from and I want to pick wisely, so please throw your suggestions in thanks. :star:2011-10-30 22:40:00

I'd think the weekend pursuits would be useful, versatile costume pieces and all that. Also, the Nathan Drake costume is coming th 2nd of November, you might wanna save 2.99 for it

Idk if you have move, but the move pack is by far my favorite. I thought the levels were more fun than the original LBP 2 story mode.2011-10-30 23:18:00

move pack
toy story kit
pirates
and mgs

If you use a lot of stickers check out some of the sticker kits. They are often overlooked and can be loads of fun.

You can check out the stuff here

Personally, unless you have one that you just really want, I would stay away from costumes if you are trying to get the most out of $20. They're great, but dollar for dollar you will get more use out of a level kit or sticker pack.

If I could choose four for a beginner, Id choose:

Move Pack
Pirates of the Carribean
Toy Story
Incredibles

Those are the most usefull IMO. If youre creating that is.

I haven't gotten the move pack (just dont have the move controller n all, might get eventually) so I don't know about that although it looks amazing, so I'd probably get that. As for the MGS Kit, all the tools from it has pretty much been replaced and improved for LBP2, like the plasma ball, now you can plasmify things, or the paintinator, now you have a powerup that emits whatever you want, with a lot more settings. It's the same with the POTC kits, but I had a lot of fun nonetheless from both kits.

I guess it depends on what you'd like to do. I don't have the Toy Story kit, although I played a level or two at a friend's pod. Some of the materials seem cool, although it was a lot glitchier than other level kits for me, although it was the first LBP2 Level Kit I think. I'm not much of a creator, although I think I've gotten good at making costumes for characters or just townsfolk. The FFVII and POTC Costume Kits have a great amount of useful costume pieces imo. The Watchmen and Heavy Rain ones are good too, less costumes, but still sueful pieces, for hair and torso/leg pieces, the yhave a good sense of realism unlike some kits.

If you're looking to get cheaper kits, then some of the kits like History and Monster ones are good aswell, although that might not be necessary if you already had LBP GOTY, saved your profile on it, then transferred it over to LBP2. Besides that, the Rag Doll Kung Fu kit is great, although it'll cost you 6 dollars. Plus the Killzone Mini-kit is 3 bucks, has two costumes and some good stickers, although I haven't gotten the newest Killzone mini-kit.
