How can you make a sackbot enter/exit controlinator at command?

Having some issues here... Working on a rather...massive project that requires a sackbot to get into and out of controlinators at the players will..but the sackbot enters the controlinators without me telling it to, and when i try to exit he just jumps right back into it.

I can do a workaround by toggling different emotion chips on his brain board (Hit triangle toggle emotion chip 1 to enter, and again to exit) but that doesnt tell the player how to enter. (like the triangle icon that pops up when a player nears a controlinator)

Any tips?

maybe just use holo or sticker panel to replace the missing prompt? might be easier than trying to change the entry system... and you can theme the icons based on the level...2011-10-30 23:59:00

Do you have the sticker material? You could just have a sticker triangle over the vehicle, which goggles on and off when the Sackbot enters.

Basically, just create your own triangle notification.

I made this logic a while back, the cleanest prompt I could do was a tag that triggered an emitter on the sackbot's board and had a prompt flash over the head of the Sackbot.

The reason it is contained in the Sackbot was I didn't want heaps of extra logic on a bunch of controlinators.

It's made out of holo to make it shareable, but sticker material would be much better. While the logic isnt that gnarly it is available in my level 'Docs Workshop' so you can see if it looks OK in someone else's stage. Sometimes we criticize our own work more than is fair, so check it out it doesn't look that bad.

Y'know, for some reason, I hadn't considered doing that. After I refine the logic of my sackbots, I'll probably utilize this exact technique in a future level. Thanks for the idea!

There is one simple way I can think of to solve this problem, which is to have an inverted tag sensor wired to the controlinators' eject player input, and on the sackbot have the triangle button hooked up to a tag of a corresponding colour. As for the button prompts, all above suggestions sound good!

EDIT: Just thought my idea through and it wouldn't work, because the second you release the triangle button again the eject player input would come back on and throw you back out! Ignore me!
