Search for pathfinding on this forum for some different points of view on this. One way would be to create a series of pre-defined routes using tags and work out which route uses the fewest tags and make the vehicle follow that. Another way would be to make each vehicle autonomous with a sensor array of impact sensors on holo and tag obstacles on the map. If something intersects the vehicle's leftmost sensor then rotate the vehicle right by x degrees as an example, while always attempting to reorientate the vehicle towards the waypoint the player set. | 2011-10-30 20:10:00 Author: Ayneh ![]() Posts: 2454 |
