Uncapturable Objects and Material

A while ago I managed to obtain some objects and a material that were uncapturable. I didn't think much of them at the time, but then I realized how useful they could be. For all of you who are fed up with the capture-tool noobs in Create Mode, this could be the solution to your problems. I published a copyable level here (http://lbp.me/v/7-qrdm) where you can obtain them.

The material is the coolest and weirdest of the bunch - you can material change it to anything you want and it'll stay uncapturable. It can't be smeared, cut away, or pasted onto itself, but you can corner edit and Slice 'N' Dice it just fine.

I can corner edit the material. Do you still know how to do that glitch on any object any time you want to? Also I got that prize bubble but I can't find the prize anywhere in my community objects. Is that normal?2011-10-27 05:59:00

I got those objects by extracting them from a tutorial; I can't just apply that effect to any object. The prize bubble was also straight from a tutorial, so it doesn't surprise me that you've already collected it.2011-10-27 06:30:00

Use emitters, or a Creatinator. Their built-in capture tool does work on these objects.2011-10-27 20:50:00

Pretty much.

BTW, something else I found - the glitched level link has a weird beta option in its tweak menu. There's also a secret lock decal object you can extract from it by box-selecting its upper half.

This isn't a glitch... I think... A while ago I was working on a level that had a lot of emitters, (Portal 2) and I realised that an object can become uncapturable if it is emitted repeatedly. So this isn't necessarily a glitch but a helpful bug. I haven't figured out how I did it but all I know is that it can be made with emitters.2011-11-03 01:46:00
