"Hello everyone, just to let you know that some updates have gone live now for LBP.me with the latest server deployment. Here is a summary of the main changes and new features.

lbp.me changes:
* Any PSN names mentioned in level descriptions, reviews or comments will now link to their lbp.me page if they are prefixed with the @ symbol. E.g: @Tom_Molecule
* You can now search and filter results by move levels
* You can now search levels by the number of recommended players (this depends on the level author having set this when they published the level)
* The top 3 pins for a player are now displayed on their profile page
* Comments and Reviews pages now show the top 3 highest rated comments or reviews at the top of the page
* Comments and reviews pages can now be sorted by rating or date published

Server changes:
* Matchmaking - players are now less likely to try to join recently left players

Thanks everyone!

Tom "

I'm happy....I guess. I would have been happier if they would have added the FLIPPIN' icon that shows that I've ALREADY PLAYED THE LEVEL! Is it really that hard? Oh wait, you can show my pins that I choose to put up there, but not that I've already played this level? Do you have any idea how many levels I play? It's a ton. I can't remember all these levels, and I'm tired of re queuing ones that I've already played. Ughghghg, come on!
Thus concludes this rant, this thread will now continue with a regularly scheduled post.

Forgive me, my expectations and hopes blinded me. I should read more carefully, not daydream. (:

Anyway, thanks for information.

Cool update to LBP.me but the whole top comments thing is... weird.. and usually totally random and irrelevant...
Still wish we could post comments and review already played levels.. and yes like bbiorogue said.. show which levels we played.
Could always use more of course, but the updates are nice

Oh, and don't forget the locked level display issue... Every time I check out lbp.me, I see unfinished project badges by my favorite creators and think they've finally published it... until I click and load the next page and see that they're still locked! D'Oh!!! 2011-10-26 21:34:00

Actually it would be rather difficult currently.
Your level completion stats including levels that you've played, completed, aced and collected all the items for...
Are all stored in your save data on your personal PlayStation 3 console.

This information is not stored on the LittleBigPlanet server and therefore Media Molecule do not have access to it, to be able to display it on your LBP.me profile.

Hmm, that sounds logical. I stand corrected. Still would be nice though.

Finally! That had to have been the most annoying thing about playing online.

Not entirely true. There's clearly a record made on MM's DB server every time you play a level, whether you completed it or not, and if so, what score you got, otherwise how could they generate the Recent Activity feed, and scoreboards?

It looks as if some of that data isn't kept indefinately, as there seems to be a limit to the maximum number of Recent Activity entries you can view on the site.

The scoreboard data doesn't seem to ever get purged tho', so they ought to be able to tell if you completed a level or not by the presence of an entry for your PSN username in the scoreboards for that level.

Whilst there are such records on the LittleBigPlanet server for highscores, however it's been stated that it's not enough for LBP.me to be able to generate that kind of information:

We would like to do this but much of the information about a users profile exists on the console and not on the server, and so at present we show the information that is available.

That is enough, they contain activity data which is assigned and related to the player and the level, in SQL that enough to determent if level been played by specific player with single SQL query. Only issue that they can have is or database structure is of activity is write in odd way or it's not pay off with preference.

That's kind of a neat feature. Now, whatever happened to scanning QR codes to play a level instantly?

When will it actually start working?
Becose, I tried and it does not work for me. "Play now" is greyed, and I was connected at LBP2 + PSN + lbp.me at same time.

This lbp.me feature works for me in Chrome and Safari, but don't work in Firefox and IE browsers. What browser do you use? Try some another.

It seems Play Now use Web Socket APIs, you can check if your browser support them here:

http://html5test.com/

you got also note there that Firefox and Opera disabled them due security issues, maybe if you google you might find the way to enable them ;]

This is the explanation:

Both Mozilla and Opera do support the WebSocket protocol in their latest browsers, but have disabled it due to a fundamental security issue with the protocol. Once the protocol has been updated it is expected they will re-enable this feature.

I tried, but I finally chose easier way - now I use chrome and everything works fine (and faster).
