Is there any other game you'd like to play but you can't because of LBP?

For me it is Deus Ex HR, but this game will take so much time and this precious time could be spent on making levels...I'm starting to be like some junkie DD So do you feel it same sometimes , or you alway find some time for other games??2011-10-26 01:31:00

I have more then enough time to play games. so unlike some i never have to pick of one or the other. I just play whatever game I'm in the mood for. *mew2011-10-26 01:37:00

I tend to pick one game and play it for a long time.

I have my General rank in Warhawk. Anyone who has ever played Warhawk can tell you that takes a lot if dedication to the game.

I play games I love, and play them for a long time.

I have several unopened games right now. I have Fable 2 that I have yet to touch, Fallout New Vegas, I've actually played a little of it. Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy XIII
I'll try to play something else and then it's right back to LBP. I think they must have put subliminal messages within the code to make you not play anything else.

I wouldn't ever allow a game to prevent me from play other games.
And LBP2 for me is all about friendship.

At the moment finishing waves 1-50 of horde on Gears of War 3 and finishing off Enslaved. (Mass Effect 2 is still in it's box since pre-order). Bioshock 2 is still on the shelf. It's actually distracting me from my Xbox 360 for once.2011-10-26 11:23:00

I did actually finish Bioshock 2, it's good, not quite as good as the first one though. When Mass Effect 3 and Bioshock Infinite come out, may have to slow down on LBP2011-10-26 12:38:00

You're not alone. LBP really has done a good job of gluing me in, although I have recently tried playing other games. I just recently got Okami, started playing it, pretty fun, although introduction drags on a bit imo, and not enough sve stations if they're not gonna allow auto-save, or save whenever you want. I never got to getting Batman: Arkham Asylum so when I heard the super duper preorder bonus Wal-Mart had for Arkham City, I had to get it, getting both, 10 dollar card, and some alone time with Catwoman.

Arkham Asylum is a surprisingly good game. Completed it ages ago and I'm yet to get the new one. But my motto is:

Too many games not enough time

The gaming industry has grown so huge now that more games are being released whereas in the olden days only a few really top notch stand out games would be released or part of a franchise in one maybe two years. On top of that theres platform competiton as it's more common for people to own more than one console. Dare I say market saturation? But I do find it harder to keep up, especially as I get older.

Hopefully once my second level is done, I'll get back to all these others games I have on the shelf.

Ah well, I'm actually going to take a subtle break from LBP when Skyrim and Skyward Sword come out.. I have this little goal to beat every Zelda game lol, and any game with just tons and tons to do and find I always love. So Skyrim will be hogging a lot of my LBP time.

...Still will probably get on every day or two though but at last I can come back to my moon refreshed and with new ideas to create.
Maybe after sinking several hours into Skyrim I'l have some new activity on my levels to come back to ... a big maybe..

If I still have a game unfinished (currently Deus Ex: HR and ICO/Shadow of the Colossus) and find myself with free time to play but I don't it's because I'm not really in the mood. Much unike what certain people say about games shortening a person's attention span, some games have a continuous story being told or action being performed that require constant focus. And since I've started studying again that focus and attention have been spent on classes and studies instead of games. Mainly . So most days of the week I arrive home and while I'm not actually tired, I can't gather the mental strength to go play a game as "heavy" as Deus Ex, and instead I settle on fooling around in create mode in LBP2 and exploring the usual sites I visit on teh interwebs.2011-10-28 03:34:00

@biorogue, Heh heh, I just returned an unplayed Bioshock 2 to the shop today, realizing I would never bother with it. and @Unexpecter, Also have yet to open Deus Ex: HR... and I'm not even playing LBP2 these days! I've sworn off all games for a while. But when I get the urge to play, I instantly urgently want to play LBP2. It is a problem indeed. 2011-10-29 09:05:00

Yep, I have tons of games I want to play, or replay- to get into again. LBP doesn't help any, that's for sure.

New games: Uncharted 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy VII.
Replay: Kingdom Hearts I & II, Zelda series (I've already finished OoT, first time. Started on Majora's Mask but I stopped playing after I got to the Zora part. Yes, I'm playing them to get ready for Skyward Sword), Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey (haven't played in years), Paper Mario 1 & TTYD...

Just to name a few. If I play a good game, I stick with it most of the time.

But my motto is:
Too many games not enough time

Yeah.

To me is the reverse: I can't play LBP (or any other PS3 games) because I'm stuck into Minecraft. Well, that is until I get UC3 and BF3, then I'll get back to the PS3. 2011-10-29 10:11:00

Minecraft does have its magic, the excitement of shaping an unlimited playable world the way you want my laptop keeps overheating with games though so no Minecraft for me while I don't get a better one 2011-10-29 21:40:00

Gosh with all the great games coming out, I feel overwhelmed. I would really like to play GTA IV, but GTA V is already announced. I play some Minecraft, right now I am trying to balance it out between MC and LBP 2. I will probably play some MW3 when its out. All in all i totally agree.2011-10-31 04:59:00

I'd say skip GTAIV. If you were a fan of the previous games, that is. I played every one of them including the expansion packs. I thought the transition from top-down madness to story-driven 3D was incredible. And I utterly, utterly hated what they did to the series with GTAIV. It suffers from "Rockstar Unicycle Engine Syndrome (RUES)" (I just made that up, but based on an industry gamemaker's real quote that the character in GTAIV controls like a drunk on a unicycle, which is so true, and the game is unplayably awkward because of it). There's a lot of talk that the GTAIV expansion DLC brought fun and joy back to the series, but the main game is just horrible. I tried it twice at two different times, on two different systems, and both times was bored in the bad way... like, offended that I'd wasted time on it bored. GTAV will likely fix a few problems and I look forward to it, but I have yet to complete GTAIV and am frankly glad to have a new game in the series to move on to!

Just my little rant.

More on topic, @everyone:

I've done it! I got off LBP and LBP2. I'm selling my GOTY copy of the first game, now that I have a bazillion downloadable backups (and never used any of the materials from it in my LBP2 levels) and have promised myself not to come back to either game until I reach a certain landmark point in 2012... at which point I am unlikely to be playing any games anymore.

So long folks, I have moved onnnnnn...? Or so it feels.

I had this so I took a month off once I finished a level and finished all of the other games.

One of which was Okami, and I'm glad I did. It's an excellent game (though I agree with the intro bit). Still haven't finished Okamiden, but that's not really because of LBP.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! And what do you mean you won't be playing anymore games? Are you moving to a cave somewhere? If so, verizon makes a cool little mobile broadband device.

Arbiekko went off to isolate himself in a remote buddhist monastery and learn the way of Shaolin monks (who I suppose don't play LBP2 in between hours of meditation). It's a sad day for the LBP community 2011-11-04 20:06:00

I bought a copy of Mirror's Edge just a few weeks ago, and only played it once, then stuck back to LBP.2011-11-04 22:50:00
