Basic Push button to start menu help needed please.



i need some help with logic please!

im trying to make a simple background with a press x to start menu.

its for a sackbot deathmatch, sackbots use a jetpack which i already have working.
i current have a teleporting system set up by which i have a player sensor hooked up to this, this will transport the players immediately when the game starts into the hologram followers that controll and follow ur sackbot. wen ur sackbot is killed a new sackbot is emitted and the follower then latches onto this one.

what i want to happen is all players spawn in, hidden behind my title screen. player one with start the game by pressing x. the other players wont be able to move. then once player one presses x they all transport to differend sackbots. if there are less than 4 players then i need the excess sackbots to be destroyed. i also wud like a countdown timer (3 minutes) to start and somehow be displayed to everyone. once finished i wud like the players to be transported to the scoreboard.

depending later on how i feel i wud like the sackbots to already start with creatinators on the heads and players being able to toggle between 3 weapons without the need to pick up another creatinator. 3 weapons being a rocket laucher, grenade launcher which explode 2 secs after impact with any thing or instantly if hits another player, and some kinda of plasma/laser gun.

So not really a menu. But more like just a 'Press __ When Everybody is Ready' kind of thing? It's pretty simple.

Instead of having everybody spawn in with sackbots, have them all spawn to normal controlinators. On the main controlinator is in use, have it run through a NOT Gate and run the NOT Gate into the eject inputs on all the other controlinators. Then, you'll just have the person in the main controlinator press __ to activate a tag and kick them out of the controlinator. (Maybe have an OR Gate with the output running into one of its own inputs AND into the eject input. Then have the activation button from above run into the other part of the OR Gate. This would make it a perma-switch and makes it so that you can never get into those controlinators again.) Have the perma-switch from above also run into a tag. That tag will be required to have every sackbot spawn thingy in the level work.

Of course, you'll need to change this slightly to fit what you want. But this is the basics for you. If you need pictures, I'm sure that somebody can reference you to another tutorial. Or me or somebody else could post some pictures.

I don't know how to do the weapon cycling with creatinators since I never use them. So I can't help you there. :/

not really sure what these are connected to. what are they program to when made active?

sorry but i cant figure this out. not sure about the tags, and wether ur talking about 1 or 2 not gates.

Comphermc is god. I watched all of the LBP2-torials. He helps a lot. k1n9y14, do you speak english as first language ? because it's hard to understand you will the missing words and sms language. (PS, I speak french as first language)

So here's an overview of everything. You're going to go from the spawn, to the Push-to-Start thingy, to the actual thing you control. This is extremely basic and you can mess with it to make it work how you need it.

This is a close-up for the first set of logic you'll need.

You wire Cross into a counter. Set the counter to 1. Wire the counter into the OR Gate. Wire the OR Gate into itself. Wire the OR Gate into the tag. (You can have the tag labeled if you wish) Wire the OR Gate into the eject input for the master controlinator. (The top one) Place down a NOT Gate. Wire that black circle thing that turns on when you're in the controlinator into the NOT Gate. Wire the NOT Gate into the eject inputs of all other controlinator's there. (The other 3)

Place down a Tag Sensor. Have it sense the exact tag that you placed on the other controlinator. Wire the Tag Sensor into a NOT Gate. Wire the NOT Gate into the master controlinator's eject input. (The top one) Place another NOT Gate. Wire that black circle thing that turns on when you're in the controlinator into the NOT Gate. Wire the NOT Gate into all the other controlinator's there. (The other 3)
