Can A Sackbot Enter A Level Link?

Is there a way for a sackbot to enter a level link? I'm creating a Megaman styled game where I fight a boss at the end of the level. After the boss is defeated, a secret room will unlock revealing the next level. This of course will be done with a level link. But the sackbot can't seem to activate it. Any suggestions.2011-10-19 18:29:00

Add a tag on the bot, and when it gets near the link, the tag will trigger sensor on the level link.

You'll of course need a new bot waiting at the entrance of the new level, since the bot doesn't actually go through.

Yeah, the bots can't go through. They should be able to though, because then, say you were making a level where sackbots follow you and you get points for how many survive at the end, they would be able to follow and you wouldn't need any more data transfer stuff to keep them alive.

The only issue with that is that the game never 'knows' you're controlling a sackbot to bring though. All it 'knows' is that you're in a controlinator and a sackbot just happens to be doing what you tell it to. It's pretty simple to just have a sackbot at the entrance though... And it's relatively simple to do data transfer.

Then you just have to give the points for the number of sackbots that survived through the first half. And other points for the sackbots that survive the 2nd half

Transferring bots would be a bad idea as the bots require a lot of thermo. Since the game would have no way to know if the bots would be there or not, it wouldn't take them into thermo count. But they should have a data-transfer option, I admit. Just transferring a number of bots and making a machine generate the same amount of bots in the second level would be easy to do and require almost no memory. Just the possibility to have an inventory would be super-cool. But unluckily...
