Emitters changing where they emit to without changing location.

I have some emitters on an object. i want to split that object into different pieces but keep all the emitters where they are. the problem is, when i erase part if the object to split it into pieces, many of the objects disappear. so what i do is i take em off, putting them on a temporary piece of material exactly in front of where they were on their original object. then i split the object into pieces, move all the emitters back onto the object, exactly where they were before. but after doing this, none of the emitters emit their objects anywhere near where they did before. i can see no reason for this, as they were never edited. how do i avoid this? also its not so simple to just reload the objects into their emitters. | 2011-10-19 01:23:00 Author: unnatural Posts: 51 |

Try the Slice 'n Dice tool. If that doesn't work, then you could always copy the object, then bomb around the original until you get the emitters more or less secluded. Then change the material to holo and move the copied object into its place lining up the emitters. Then delete the emitters on the copied object.
