Do people still play LBP1?

Archive: 27 posts

I got LBP2 about a few months ago (it was one of my first purchases since I had to make a new PSN account since i don't know if the email of my old PSN account still works) and was wondering. Do people still play the first LittleBigPlanet and is it worth playing it to get all of the LBP1 items imported into the sequel (which i have beaten, but not 100%)2011-10-17 21:02:00

I still play. It has gotten a bit quieter at this end though. In my opinion, any extra items that could be useful to build with is worth it, especially if you already own the game.2011-10-18 04:25:00

I still play it. Against what most think.. I prefer the create mode in LBP1 over LBP2. It's more about creativity, not the logic system.

And what xxMateosxx said. It's great to get all the extra items.

ya, its worth playing because you also have 20 more level spots to publish levels in lbp1 so its good for that too, plus the ppl of lbp1 need good decent (new) levels to play instead of the junk thats taken over the cool pages in there. Plus all the extra goodies, and the lighting and other stuff is different when you compare the two games.2011-10-21 15:28:00

Funny, for me its I don't wanna get LBP2 until I'm done with my level series in LBP1. I don't want to just leave it unfinished and I know once I get 2, I won't work on it anymore. Of course when your making little headway on creating anyway...

Why not continue it in LBP2? It can be even better!

People are probably still playing LBP1 mainly because for a limited time it was given for free back in Spring, which easily added thousands of players.2011-10-25 03:16:00

Consistency mostly. I have a separate idea for when I get LBP2 though.

Makes sense I suppose.

At least to me. It's like writing a story and leaving it after finishing half. Then you come back and make the second half better. But your stuck with a lopsided story unless you redo the first half. Since I already redid the first two levels I'm not in a hurry to do it again.2011-10-26 04:14:00

I still play. I think if you buy LBP2, you should import all your collected items from LBP1 to your LBP2 profile. So, if you want to make a level on LBP2, but you have to use some items from LBP1, you can go to them to use them.

I was here, so deal with it!

I played some LBP1 just the other day. For kicks I went into my queue and saw some levels that aren't playable in LBP2 and had some fun playing those. Then I screwed around in create for a little bit. Still love LBP12011-12-02 21:52:00

Of course people still play lbp1. You get less plays a lbp2. you get 2 plays a day at lbp2, at lbp1 you get like 10 plays every minute, even some people still play lbp psp. Lbp2 have the brains but lbp1 haves the heart.2011-12-05 22:17:00

I don't have LBP2 so I couldn't say for certain but isn't it easier for LBP1 levels to get more plays becuase both audiences have access to it whereas only LBP2 owners can play LBP2 levels?2011-12-07 00:22:00

Yep, I still play. Went through the campaign to get all the collectables, but still log on every fortnight or so to check for levels, and to work on my own LBP1 level (which I never finished, and am committed to getting published one day in the distant, distant future )

Like people have said, the level creator has a different feel to it in the first game, quite a bit less about logic so it's worth a blast every now and again

I bougth lbp2 mainly cause the logic (piston logic) in lbp1 was to slow for the stuff I wanted to do. I made a something that worked only ones in the 3-4 cycles it made. That and some other things made me bougth lbp2. And after buying I only played lbp1 to play with friend that don't have lbp2 and to get 100% goodies ^^2012-05-11 22:28:00

Holy crap. I just published a level in LBP1, and it got hundreds of plays in just a few hours (http://lbp.me/v/cwwdyp :hrmf: ). LBP1 isn't dead at all !2012-07-13 23:02:00

I was working on getting 100% on it yesterday... I only got the first game this past spring and 2 at the start of summer. There were loads of people listed for every level I saw posted on screen, (I was in Canyons finishing up "the mines")2012-07-13 23:39:00
