Click on edit, then 'go advanced' on the bottom right. There should be an option to delete the thread

Just to let you know. now that you've made changes to this and the level that follows this I will be playing this again.

It's actually a very good storyline, well thought out and planned. With a nice bit of humour and emotion thrown, I actually felt sorry for poor Larry. But I did feel there was a gap in the story between the player, who you are and how you got there and why.

Yeah, it does kind of feel like that to me too. I didn't want the story to be focused too heavily on the player though, just that you're some generic detective investigating Professor Slimes' insidious plans...perhaps I should flesh it out some.2011-10-21 11:41:00

You could add a small scene where the boss says that the factory's sewer system needs sorting out and asks you to investigate, before it spreads and ruins the rest of the system and tarnishes the company's rep? Or something along that line as long as it fits in with the story.

Not a bad idea. I would need to shift things around and make another cut scene level, and adjust the start of the first level, but actually very do-able. To be completely honest, I sort of just wrote the story as I was making the level! lol I'd be dangerous if I actually stopped to just PLAN something...

Rather then make another cut scene level, is it not possible to just add it onto the current one? Or is the thermo too high? You could just have the boss saying his lines at the end and put a destroyer on all the sackbots from the beggining to free up the thermo as it plays out.2011-10-21 12:02:00

As it is, the thermo is too high, but I do like the destroyer idea. Problem is though that I think that it would need to start with some leeway on the thermo just to add anything more to the scene, whereas at the moment it's just peaking.

Hmmmm....

You may need to emit sackbots and certain parts to free up thermo. When I'm nearly done with my part 2 level I will be going back to part 1 and emitting the two sackbots at the start rather then just having them standing there until a player triggers them. So you may want to try that instead, as sackbots can take up quite a bit of thermo.2011-10-21 12:12:00

That's not a half bad idea. Again. I think i'll try and plan it this time around! Emitting sackbots is a great way to go2011-10-21 12:19:00

Yeap, by emitting them, you can then go ahead and delete them from your level. You'll be surprised how much the thermo goes down. Good luck with it all, it's a good little series you have going.

Is anyone good at creating music?

Here are a few off the top of my head:

Pime_Taradox234 (recently did custom music for Ostler500's, Velox Nation level)
nk827 (http://www.youtube.com/user/LBPCraftsman)
SevenIsaCannibal
Highlightnotes (http://www.youtube.com/user/hilightnotes)
weirdybeardy
Festerd_Jester (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTvhdyH6pQs&feature=related) (link was from the beta though)

I may have a lot on my played levels list from my pod so you may want to pop into my pod to see them. You can contact them and check them out online in the community. I know nk827 has a youtube channel under LBPCraftsman. Or ask on the find happy gadders forums.

Thanks for that, I can't think why I didn't remember putting that I needed someone to make music!! Ah well...

I'll check these guys out anyway!

Seriously, 23 plays!? WT(cough cough, yet I see free giveaway, copied levels and items not even made by the creator but from in the game getting 100s to 1000s of plays)...I forgot just how good your first level series is. I actually went back after all your updates and played through them again. The new levels being out and being linked I must say that the story actually connects well with the start of the first level now. Nothing I could think of that needs changinig at all.

With your so called ideas 'floating around' in your previous post, if you do change anything let us know here on the thread. It's a must play series and I hope you get more plays.

Yeah it's a bit annoying, but at least everyone who has played it hasn't disliked it at all so far! lol Just gonna have to keep pushing it onto people! Being in the cool pages helps!2011-10-27 11:18:00

Hmm...
Well, it would get more plays if it was spotlighted, which there is a big chance it may be! and I'm agreeing with LittlebigDes.. onle 23 plays?! My level isn't as good as yours and has more plays for some reason! Try advertising it and going on to other F4F threads, leaving Feedback and asking them to leave feedback on yours ^^

Thanks all for your love and advice! I have left feedback on F4F threads, but the problem is that I don't get much time to play other levels so I get queues of levels that just build up, so leaving feedback regularly is a bit of a problem, but I do it whenever possible. Until then, biorogue has sent me a very helpful PM, so i'm just going to try everything everyone's said and hope for the best. Nice to know everyone's enjoying it, though! Well, nearly everyone...

How'd Ye mean Nearly everyone?

Well, I've seen from the levels' activity that although most people have either hearted or smilied it there are a few who just haven't rated it. No biggie, it just seemed arrogant to presume that everyone who played it liked it!

There are also rules for bumping (double posting) so I wouldn't go abusing it as long as it's all relavent to F4F post and to do with changes and updates.

Also bare in mind many people that don't rate does not mean they did not like your level. Many see it as an in the 'middle ground' between a yay and a boo. Saying it's ok or decent. Becuase if they really didn't like it they're more likely to boo it. Without a yay or boo they've already given you a play. Different for everyone. Even Mm picked levels and other outstanding levels still get boos. But keep it up with your updates and series and hopefully you'll get more attention.

Hi all, just to let you know i've started the end Boss character for my last SewerCide level, and i'm trying to build some hype for it. Hopefully when it's ready it'll land running so to speak, but I need to upload some pictures without having to publish the level. Anyone know how to do this?2011-10-30 09:32:00

Oooh! Ooooh! Me! Me!
You need to go onto your stickers in-game, press square and click upload. Then go onto LBP.me Find the picture, and cliick on it until it is just that picture on a blank website. Then cut/copy the Link at the top. Then come onto LBPC, click on the tree icon above where you type in a reply, and it will prmpt you to enter the URL. Then simply Paste the link in. Do multiple times for more pictures

Hi. Just played your level, I found a problem - when you get to the first sackbot, and you have to use the blocks to reach the switch, in my curiosity, I managed to get one of the blocks stuck on the bounce pad, which meant that when I switched back to my player, I was unable to progress. Shame, because it was looking like a good level. I thought the intro movie about Larry was very good.

This is probably a quick fix - put a destroyer on the boxes which is activated when that swich is activated.... problem solved

If you can play my most recent level, BattleSnake 3000 and leave feedback in my thread (links in my sig), it'd be much appreciated. Also, if you do manage to fix my problem, let me know and I'll play your level again and give you a proper review

Ah! Something i've missed! Darn! I will fix that the moment I get a chance! Many thanks for the heads up.

Oh, and I will play your level as soon as I get the chance. Have a small backlog with not a lot of time at the moment, so please be patient!

Cheers

RF, I have something to say about this Series.

Sheer Brilliance! Absolutely Incredible! A Master Level Creation! BRAVO! BRAVO!

I could easily write an hour long review on this series of levels. But the above statements sum up perfectly everything else I could have said.

This is definitely one of the best Levels/Level Series I have ever played in LBP, and I have played thousands since Nov. 2008. You had me when I popped through the first Level portal.

EVERYONE go play this Series...or you can listen cluelessly while everyone else talks about it. Yes...it's that good, and more.

This is my LBP.me review

This is really something. I like how you mix various kind of gameplay, and the visual are amazing!!!

And I forgot to mention the awesome contraptions!
Really a masterfully crafted mini-series!!!

hi, RainbowtipsFort!

This levels series truly EPIC! I love it. This levels looks and played as fun as original story levels of LBP. Will wait for continue of this series.

I will add it to recommended levels list on Russian LBP community site LittleBigRussia.ru. Great creation!

So, finally got round to playing your level (and the follow up) in full. Glad you took my advice. Very good level IMO. Some nice puzzles in there, would like to have seen more puzzles though, basically just to see what you could come up with.
The level was well presented and the camera angles you chose were pretty good. There was a lot of cool looking mechanisms throughout the level, that just gave it an extra mark in terms of presentation.
I thought the conveyor belts were used well, and the level was nice and lengthy and never got boring.

The train level reminded me of Uncharted 2, for reasons that are obvious to those who've played it. I liked that when you went inside a carriage, the front layer was removed and you could see inside - a nice touch there. The boss fight was a little easy... but I hate long frustratingly difficult boss fights, so no issue there.

Keep up the good work

Why thank you, thank you very much indeed! As you well know, I was very impressed with your battlesnake 3000 level, and anyone reading this post should play it NOW.

As for more puzzles, I hope the next part to my level will slake your intellectual thirst!
