This thread needs more options!
Making a style "techno" and throw dubstep/hardstyle in it makes as much sense as making a style called "guitar music'" and put punk, grunge and heavy metal in it

Music is such a huge part of my life! There aren't many genres that I can honestly say that I dislike, but my favourites (and therefore the options I voted for) have to be techno (house, trance, electro, dubstep), rock, and metal.2011-10-27 00:53:00

I'd be inclined to pick Rock (soft rock), but I actually like any kind of music, as long as it's got a little something special (this also applies to people I go about with, for that matter). What I really like are musics that are very slow-paced in the beginning and then gradually rise and eventually EXPLODE in the end!

It can be any kind of songs, from pop rock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Kf_6BWcOOg), to ballads (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY04alK_kuk), including... strange stuff (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgEQV94vRzg).

I'm a Metal-head through and through, but I also love Dubstep and Classical

All those genres are ok, but I enjoy Jazz, Classical, and rock the best for some reason lol.

You left out two of the most important genres, blues and folk. Irish folk music is my favorite. It's so full of life! But I like all kinds of music. I picked rock though, since it is mostly just a mixture of blues and folk.

PUNK! I like listening to extremely energetic music (hardcore punk) and extremely laid back music (reggae). I also like ska, bluegrass, alternative. I agree country should be a genre on here, bluegrass would go under that catagory. These are the basic genres, dubstep is an offspring of techno, hardcore and pop-punk are spinoffs of punk, etc.
I like pop-punk bands like Green Day and Blink-182, which is one reason my name on here is xLAMEPUNKx because I listen to wannabe punks XD
