K. So... Made LBP2 profile backup. (before 1.07 patch?) YLOD. New PS3, same PSN login. Reinstalled LBP2. (did not update to latest version) Attempted to import profile. ("the data is corrupted") So I hear you get this error when importing profiles and having different versions of LBP2 due to patches. How do I fix? Will updating to newest LBP2 patch fix it? Is it a PS3 or LBP2 patch problem?

Will updating to newest LBP2 patch fix it? Should do. If not, you can cancel the update just before it starts to download the 1.07 patch (leaving you on 1.06) before you import the profile backup, then import the 1.07 patch after the import. TBH, though, I doubt it'll make any difference either way. Is it a PS3 or LBP2 patch problem? LBP2, and it's not surprising that it happens - software is rarely forwardly-compatible (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_compatibility), since it typically makes the code much more complicated.
