I am currently trying to get the Dive In trophy (dive in and play 25 levels online with another player and don't leave immediately). I have dived in many times and most of the time stay right to the end. I have got most of the 2x, 3x and 4x collectables this way. However when I return to my pod and go into my Pins to check my progress nothing changes. Has anyone else had this issue? Any insight would be much appreciated as banging my head against a brick wall doesn't seem to be helping

I have the same problem, I have played around with dive in for hours but once i checked the pin status it's stuck at 3. I wonder what actually triggers it...?

I'd rather be hanged upside down, tied with my bowels, than getting that trophy. That pin made clear that MM doesn't play the game, and don't know how awkward is for an over 30 to meet an under 13.

Here's a tip: When you dive in, and it goes to a white screen saying 'Failed to connect' go and play any level at all and you'll get a dive in. That's how i got my plat.

Can't you only use dive in online? The fact you mention you got your collectibles that way is confusing. The single player doesn't count as a dive in - you physically have to hit the 'Dive In' button online. Sorry if this is what you're doing, but like I say, the collectibles thing seems iffy. =P This is how I got my pin anyway. EDIT: For clarity, by online I mean on community levels, not story mode. Obviously you can play story mode levels online, but yeah. =P

So if you're diving in on the story levels, that could be where your problem lies. I also got this pin/trophy no problem while playing community levels.

It'd be nice if it was clear exactly what the criteria were. As someone who isn't social I think I'd have a heart attack if I tried to pursue this trophy.

It's not about being social or not. I'm quite social, though some people are really awkward, and I can be awkward for them, who knows. Add to that the fact that LBP2 is basically unplayed with more than 2 players, and that 2 players in pod=nice experience, from 3 players upwards, it's usually an annoying dork slap fest.

Yeah... Had this happen, showing someone on my friends list some WIP stuff based on Back To The Future and mentioned that I saw it on VHS and have been obsessed with it since. Their next message had a bit of a delay and was "I'm 15" Worlds collided.

Well, I must say that I met some really cool young ones, but I met them here. Not all 15 yo are bad. I have some pretty awesome youngsters in my friends' list. But usually the ones you just met randomly online...they're pretty bad.

Thanks everyone for your help. Xaif > You have highlighted the issue. I feel stupid now, but I wasn't using the Dive In function. I was just going Join Us when loading the level. I have now tried the method mentioned by Nunsmasher and it works fine.
