WOW! My levels are now getting played

My levels didn't get any plays for about a month. Now they are getting played every day. In the last 24 hours one of my levels got 11 more plays. I published this level in April. Is this happening to anyone else or is it just me?

And why not give this level a play? Its got alot more yays than nays. It's much more fun if you play it with friends as well

EDIT: After playing my levels a few days ago with a friend, my level has stopped getting plays. Strange?

It's been happening with my LBP1 level Puzzle World. Whenever I check my recent activity, someone has played it, despite it being almost a year old.

It might be that someone played a more recent level of yours, and decided to check out your other levels. The most plays I have on any level so far is only 31 =(

Not sure about that, some of it can be that, but I have LBP 1 levels that are getting plays more than the new LBP2 level...which is nice to finally get a level to the 500 mark.

It may have to do with summer vacation being over or such.

It has happend to my newest level, and it is very nice to get some more plays. I still have a long way to hit 500, but its a good start.

I queued your levels. Im always looking for levels with effort put in. Dont worry, you will get the plays you diserve. It does take alot of time... which is the bad thing.

I have LBP 1 levels that are getting plays more than the new LBP2 level.

That would make sense. Remember every single PS3 owner had the opportunity to download LBP for free due to the hacking scandal, not that they all did, but the userbase is far more massive than LBP2's.

It looks to me like its been getting the same amount of plays everyday for the past 10days that it has today, going through the recent activity... You werent looking for an excuse just to advertise your level in a here were you?

@OP - any chance lucky dip has anything to do with it? Is that completely random? Coz I do that from time to time and I have seen the same list (or **** near the same) pop up, I find it very hard to believe that from the millions of levels this lucky dip if it was completely random could possibly show you the same levels again that easy :s

And I was away from LBP myself for a couple of weeks and did get some plays, not that many I guess, but given my levels are there months, for them to suddenly get 10 plays out of nowhere in a few days is kinda weird - Id be happier about this mini burst of activity if it wasnt for the amount of rate downs it came with lol (I know its small, but going from 3 to 6 boo's, thats double QQ!! Actually its hilarious to see someone play a level multiple times, then rate it down! If it was that bad, why did you keep playing!?)

I guess lucky dip may load a level for a while. Although I have noticed a few more plays after a lul, but the more interesting thing is hearts.

I logged in and looked at my recent activity was a list of hearts.

From people that played my stages. Most multiple times.

With no request for me to do the same.

I think that this is one of the seven signs of end of days.

This is a wild guess, but I think a few people I had helped in other forum repaid the favor. I helped a few of them with their levels (I'm not a logic expert but some of these lads didn't even know what an AND gate is for), and I always posted links and descriptions to awesome levels I played so they could queue them up directly without having to search for the good stuff (I dare to say that back then I used to play more community levels than all of them combined, so why not guide them towards all the hidden gems so they didn't have to go though the same trouble?). They told me they'd want to check my level as soon as it was out, so I guess that ended up happening. I also showcased it here.

It kinda makes me feel odd, though. I have almost 3000 plays, while some people with way more impressive levels struggle to get over 100. Can't say this is a fair community.

^^well you could say that some mediocre songs get way more airplay than some really good stuff.

I always think that maybe the lesser played stages will make more of an impact on the people who played them though.

well don't feel odd, part luck, part good deeds being returned, from the sounds of it

I'm happy I get the plays I do, I do like to keep track of all those who visit my planet and visit theirs in return. If I was getting thousands of plays that would become borderline impossible or more to the point, impractical XD

I do feel sad for those who make pretty awesome stuff and get tiny plays tho (I know it's silly!). Check the last level I played (cake factory... An angry story) - ugh, should prob link it, even tho Im not logging in much ATM - http://lbp.me/v/6yx9j1 . Nice level, lots of time spent on it, fun mix of platforming and some Victoria style creatinator action and he's got 5 plays! That would annoy me, after that much time spent on it...

@fusion, not quite the same thing, music taste varies etc
