With the lack of a tweak menu, I'm pretty sure they're just for looks. = | 2008-12-24 05:22:00 Author: gameguy888 ![]() Posts: 159 |
yep just for looks, just like normal lights just without the tweak menu Cheers! | 2008-12-24 06:55:00 Author: RAINFIRE ![]() Posts: 1101 |
Are the laser sights in with the regular lights? They were not in my pop-it. | 2008-12-24 07:57:00 Author: Tellus-CR1 ![]() Posts: 40 |
I didn't see them either, though maybe I haven't found them yet. | 2008-12-24 14:45:00 Author: Justin Hopewell ![]() Posts: 135 |
Think they're just for looks, although I'm thinking we're in serious need of a tweak menu for the lights, or at least a light sensor.. Or they could even make the light that detects if sackboy's in the light for us :/ They did that on MGS 3, but I have no idea how.. Well, I do, but it'd be incredibly diffcult. | 2008-12-24 14:48:00 Author: DrunkMiffy ![]() Posts: 2758 |

Has anyone had a chance to mess around in create yet and confirm that the search light does detect sackboy???? I thought they could have just been lights, and they could have achieved this by putting a censor switch on a piston under the ground going back a forth at the same speed as the light and the radius would be where the light touches the ground. Actually disregard that as the censor would still pick up the sackboy when he was hinding in the alcoves. I really hope the lights are censors though ![]() Can anyone confirm ????? | 2008-12-24 16:13:00 Author: dorien ![]() Posts: 2767 |

The search light is a proximity sensor that is unidirectional and only affects the layer it is on, you can use it to simplify many much more complicated contraptions, and to detect which layer a player is on. The laser sight is merely for decoration. And the searchlight can be found in the "Lights" section of your popit | 2008-12-24 17:26:00 Author: Trader Sam ![]() Posts: 92 |
Here's an idea for you guys, now that you've informed me that the searchlight is a special proximity switch. If you want the lasers to detect sackboy, just setup a rig with the laser lights attached to the searchlight. Then turn the brightness on the searchlight down all the way. Now you have lasers that appear to detect Sackboy! | 2008-12-24 17:56:00 Author: Justin Hopewell ![]() Posts: 135 |
Or they could even make the light that detects if sackboy's in the light for us :/ They did that on MGS 3, but I have no idea how.. Whatcha mean? Like it activates something when the sackboy stands in the light? Wouldn't a proximity switch be easier? | 2008-12-24 20:42:00 Author: Pinchanzee ![]() Posts: 805 |
It would for most normal cases, however, the searchlight only affects one layer, and it's a lot easier to make the searchlight go back and forth than to make a proximity switch move back and forth. | 2008-12-24 20:46:00 Author: BassDeluxe ![]() Posts: 984 |

I thought the laser was in the objects. If you sort by theme you should be able to find out. If it's neither there nor in the lights, then you haven't picked it up yet ![]() Here's an idea for you guys, now that you've informed me that the searchlight is a special proximity switch. Oh my god, I can't find the laser sights!! Where the heck are they?! And yes, I Aced and got 100% on every MGS level. -_____-... Where in my Pop-It are they...? | 2008-12-25 23:18:00 Author: aer0blue ![]() Posts: 1603 |
They are in the objects. Press SQUARE and go to Sort by "Theme". That will didvide all the objects into whatever levels you found them in. In the case of the laser sight that means the Metal Gear levels, Shoud be a lot easier to find this way. ![]() | 2008-12-25 23:29:00 Author: OCK ![]() Posts: 1536 |
