All nighters!

Archive: 15 posts

Ah! The weekend! For me this means no work or school. That being said, I now have a perfect reason to pull an all nighter.
Chances of me staying awake: I'd say 40%.
If I do stay up I'll definitely be making something on LBP.

So my question...
What have you done while pulling an all nighter?

I haven't had an all-nighter in a few years, but I used to do it every few weeks... Usually just because I couldn't get to sleep though.

The first time I had an all-nighter, I distinctly remember finishing Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters. Afterwards, I watched an infomercial. It was an infomercial for the Magic Bullet... A cooking thing.

Then lastly, I played Ratchet and Clank online until morning.

During one of my more recent ones, I made almost a full LBP level. Too bad I was a horrible creator back then... It was fun though.

My degree... Pretty much all of which was achieved through pulling all-nighters due to terrible time management skills

Had a LAN party one time with my friends. We had a small Mortal Kombat tourney, then we played CoD2. I lost the tourney but I ended up winning the final match for my team (we picked sides) in CoD.

Man I love LAN parties.

My most recent all nighter was when my best friend came by my house three weeks ago. We took turns playing Demon's Souls on my PS3 and Magicka/League of Legends/Crysis 2/ the original Deus Ex in his laptop. We went for a quick nap at 9AM because we couldn't concentrate in games any longer (not even after all those mugs of strong coffee), and we still wanted to play that day before he left. "We really should have gone to sleep about three hours ago. Now we won't wake until like 4PM", he said 2011-10-08 23:56:00

Scouts group. Tech night. Everyone brought their videogames (mostly PS2s and PCs, I was one of the first to bring a PS3), TVs and everyone could jump from one game to another, try different games and eat pizza. All night. Sleeping was optional.2011-10-09 00:37:00

I do all nighters around twice a month or more. Longest time I've been awake was 43h.

My last all-nighter was spent a couple of hours drive from any civilisation in the middle of the bush on a mountain at a music festival. At about 1am me and my friend got stuck sitting by a fire because it was too cold to move but she got sick of that after an hour or so we both trekked back to our tent and just lay in our sleeping bags. We did try to go to sleep but the cold just made it impossible, it got down to 2-3?C (35-37?C), which is something we aren't really used to considering we live in the tropics.

Afterwards, I watched an infomercial. It was an infomercial for the Magic Bullet... A cooking thing.
I love the Magic bullet. "Did somebody say muffins?"

i usually fool around in create mode, usually too tired to work on a level. Also, if i stay up, most of my friends do also. 2011-10-09 04:52:00

ALL. THE. TIME. Seriously, like, most nights.

Right now it's 07:39am and I haven't been to sleep yet. I just tend not to sleep sometimes. :S

Maybe i'm crazy? Probably.

I've never exactly done a full all-nighter, but I have stayed up until 2:30 AM watching AVATAR.2011-10-12 04:00:00
