How does this work? I played it several times and managed to place some towers, but beyond the roman numerals changing near the top of the screen... nothing happened. Anyway, if this is a tower defense game, you might think about perhaps making the tower objects more interesting and tower-like. Green holo looks a little odd. Aside from that, it looks as if you've published this before it was finished, so "finish it" would be my only other comment

For making it in one day, it is a great start. i think you have the layout mechanics pretty well done. I like the idea of the stone grid surrounding the road for placement. It could use some work though. The splats on death are way too large, and the enemies could use a better design. Not sure if the tower upgrades work or not as I couldn't see a difference. Other than that, it is nicely done for a one day project. I hope you finish it up and polish it. I love these types of games.
